Dale Jarrett went from eminent doom to 5th place by the end. That's as badass a comeback as any at this track.

This is unbelievable action. I miss these cars and the way they acted in the draft

    Ken Squier was so oblivious

That’s why they replaced him with Allen Bestwick shortly after this

@@NotSteveCook he was a pioneer. And also missed things.

@Jesus_Hippie You can say he was oblivious to things because he was...doesn't mean he wasn't still a pioneer...he just wasn't as good as he was previously which is why Bestwick replaced him

I always hated races that were not on ESPN. All the other networks sucked with their coverage.

Their intros in 1998 were so cool! And BP, Ned Jarrett, and Bob Jenkins were a great team.

Unpopular opinion Earnhardt should have retired after this season there was nothing to gain by racing more. He was never going to win another title. With how good Gordon was and the rumors of as good if not better drivers on the way up. He might still be alive if he did

Yup, unpopular. Nobody retired while they were still winning races - at least since Ned in the 60s. Dale retired doing what he loved.

Earnhardt is a very dirty driver....3 different times in just this race

No he was a racer. It's a racetrack. Not the interstate.

your ass is dirty ! like Tre said its a race track not a interstate , he was the reason nascar became widly known, ask any fan or retired driver they will yell you he was the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They didn’t call him the intimidator because he was passive. He drove aggressively and that’s why he won 7 championships

@@schoolcraftT thank you for taking notice!!! NASCAR is but a shadow of what it use to be!!! Today they have all these clean cut kids racing there perfect cars that they don’t want to get any damage to by being aggressive. Does anyone remember that race at Bristol when Dale Sr got quote put in the penalty box and the held him for 5 laps because him and terry labantoe were battling it out for position? They held 5 for 5 laps and he was sooooo pissed that they did that to him that he was a man on a mission he was slamming into cars that were in his way making up the 5 laps by the last 1-2 laps and then he almost won the race and as soon as terry crosses the line he spun terry out and hit the wall and even know terry won the race his car was fucked up so
Badly it looked so funny sitting in victory lane!!! But that was the INTIMIDATOR !!! Ask any driver from the 80’s-90’s era and they will tell you that when they saw that black #3 coming up on them it made them nervous! If that’s not intimidating Idk what is! He was the best driver, ambassador, & face that nascar will ever have!! He put the sport on the map!!! Awesome comment Todd!!! I’m so glad that is true SR FANS remember him for his style and personality!!
