I’ve been look for a great detailed video that explains how to blend the cuticle area. Thank you so much! Your video is so helpful especially for someone who is a beginner. 💕
Hi Carole! Thank you for making such a helpful video! I’ve always struggled with blending my cuticle area! I bought the drill bit and I love it so much! I also bought a kit from The Painted Desert after watching your video! 😊🥰
Definitely trying this. Then after it's sealed, do you proceed with peel base and dip? I normally file down to builder gel, so I guess I would file off the shine and then dip. 🤔 I only use tips when I have a traitor nail tho. Lol
Thanks for this video, Carol this is unrelated but do you think gelly tips could contribute to a gel allergy? I saw where someone mentioned you should use acrylic tips. Thanks for your valuable opinion
Quick question. If I were to use a no wipe top coat to seal can I paint my nails with gel color directly afterwards? Or would I need to rough it up a bit (other than the cuticle area)?
Or you could fill in the gap with rubber base gel instead of top gel. It'd be thick enough to seal in the tips edge but will leave your nail ready for gel polish immediately after.
Just like dip powder, products are interchangeable. So if I use Triple D dip liquids in a video, and you use a different brand dip liquids, it’s basically doing the same job. With this video, you just need a gel primer, gel base and gel top coat.
Do you do this for blending or to help prevent lifting at the cuticle? I haven’t been doing this with my Gelly tip application and always get lifting at the cuticle after about a week. I do all the prep you do other than this.

Would it be easier to thin out the base prior to applying nail tip??

I’m so glad you’re loving it 🙌
Thank you for this! This is something I struggle with with gelly tips for sure
Hi. Great video. I don't use these products but you explain it very well. Thank you Much 💜

Yep!! Straight to peel base after.
Wonderful as always! Great tip on the small brush. Helps so much. ❤️
What grit of hand file do you recommend for blending into the cuticle? I don’t think I can use a drill.
after efiling the cuticle can we go straight to applying the coloured rubber base coat to seal the cuticles?
Yesss finally!

Hi Susan!
I know of someone who has a gel allergy and has experienced allergic reactions to gelly tips. So based on that, I say yes.
What speed are u using the bit?
I never go over 10,000 rpm’s.
Pretty sure I need that drill bit!
Game changer 🙌
After you seal the cuticle with the rubber top coat,!do you go directly to peel base before dipping?
Yes I do 😊
His are these Tips this short naturally or did you file them down? Ty!
They’re this short 💙

Gel sticks best to a rough surface, so I recommend roughing it up.

Hi, do you have a link for the drill bit?

I would like to know what products I can use, if I don't have the Painted Desert ones 😕

I do it for both reasons.
Daaaaamn. You jacked your cuticles up!! All that blood looks painful 😖
😂🤣 it doesn’t feel as bad as it looks. It’s all healed now.
What shape are these?
They’re XS almond from the Painted Desert.
I have them linked in the description if you want to shop. 💖
