Which deadlift variation would work best for bulging disk and sciatica pain? I am looking for a variation that would add more stress to the glutes and legs and a little less stress on the lower back.
The only thing I would add to the stiff leg deadlift, is to shift your center of gravity rearward. This will help make it a stronger, more productive and more safe.
Enjoy your lower back pain doing this exercise in this way. Go as low as the floor only if you have the mobility for it. Spoiler: very few people can. What is the point on pulling with your lower back only the bar? No matter how flat your back is, you are pulling with the back until the bar reach the knee
"What is the point on pulling with your lower back only the bar?" To add pulling volume on a light day. It's less stressful than a full-weight deadlift, which you would be doing on a heavy pulling day. This was covered in the video.
I’ve been honey-potted with the thumbnail. Damn you SS!
Where’s Bre? Don’t want to see the long guy here.
Exactly another loss leader
Agree what the hell I want to see a female demonstrate this . Sad to see rippetoe resorting to click bait

Can we see close grip bench press with bob ross next?
Nice clickbait
Once again more click bait..
What is the difference between an rdl n sldl? They look kinda same to me.
RDL emphasizes the eccentric part of the lift.
The RDL has a shorter range of motion. The SLDL takes the bar from the floor and returns it to the floor for full ROM.
n00b question: Is this too much C spine extension, or is this prescribed in the sldl?
What's better for acc, sdl or rdl?
What about keeping the bar along the leg.. seems farther away
Which leg is stiff

Trap bar deadlift. This bar will give you more freedom of movement and engage your legs a lot more.
@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 Thank you. I will try it :)

@@tucon3s270 Thank you. I will try this as well and see which feels better. :)
