    What is the difference between an rdl n sldl? They look kinda same to me.

      RDL emphasizes the eccentric part of the lift.

      The RDL has a shorter range of motion. The SLDL takes the bar from the floor and returns it to the floor for full ROM.

    Which deadlift variation would work best for bulging disk and sciatica pain? I am looking for a variation that would add more stress to the glutes and legs and a little less stress on the lower back.

      Trap bar deadlift. This bar will give you more freedom of movement and engage your legs a lot more.

    The only thing I would add to the stiff leg deadlift, is to shift your center of gravity rearward. This will help make it a stronger, more productive and more safe.

    Enjoy your lower back pain doing this exercise in this way. Go as low as the floor only if you have the mobility for it. Spoiler: very few people can. What is the point on pulling with your lower back only the bar? No matter how flat your back is, you are pulling with the back until the bar reach the knee

      "What is the point on pulling with your lower back only the bar?"
      To add pulling volume on a light day. It's less stressful than a full-weight deadlift, which you would be doing on a heavy pulling day.
      This was covered in the video.
