UFO, Gary Moore, Gilbert O'Sullivan - three of my fave acts, and Neil played with all of them. This was a really fun interview with so much positivity. His sax did add something to Lonely Heart, a very emotive song (like Empty Rooms). Something Else was an odd inclusion on Mechanix, but not because of the saxophone - it was just an unnecessary cover on an album of great new songs. Neil's writing there and on Making Contact was spectacular - A Fool for Love, etc. Funny that the pussycat joined the interview, as I believe Neil Carter used to breed them!🙂
@@stephengoulding1595: Rainbow and Lizzy are two of my fave bands, so Wild Horses have always seemed interesting. Like the video of them jamming with Schenker!
Making Contact is a brilliant album. Blinded By A Lie, Diesel And Dust, Fool For Love, When It's Time To Rock and The Way The Wild Wind Blows are some of the best songs they ever wrote. Saw them on this tour in '83 as a 17 yr old and they sounded even better live. Of course Neil's sax break on Lonely Heart was the show stopping moment.
Fantastic interview. Was at the show in Spain and was the first time I'd seen Neil in the band I was super impressed by his stage presence. Great muso who is probably under appreciated in the UFO legacy. Super excited to hear Moggs Motel 😀
Please Neil, do more videos. And consider less-worn UFO covers. Dr Dr. Again? REALLY? Something from The Wild, The Willing, or even Mechanix instead please
