So laughable as some people still fail to adhere to the principle of balance ,equity and justice but wish for a country where unity will triumph...
The point here is, why should the North West have 7 states and others 6 each and the South East zone just 5?
Why this imbalance?
When talking about state creation, the land mass is not the deciding factor but population and resources.
The South East is about 29,358 squared kilometers in landmass which is smaller than many states in the North but no Geo political zone in Nigeria is richer than the South East.
The creation of an additional state in the South East is long overdue, we want it now!!!
Let them add the Igbo speaking region of Delta state
@@DonatusOkechukwuOkoli-zc7nz You get it. The German state of RheinWestfallen is about the smallest but one of richest. Infact it is a conurbation of cities almost devoid of rural dwellers, yet they are not being deprived because of their landmass. It's only in the east that rivers Niger and Benue are being respected not to cross their imaginary lines but it won't last forever. Otherwise why should a sizable Igbo population in Benue be called northers and our Anioma folks called south South - absurdity.

Anioma State is sacrosanct. Which will be tantamount to Southeast sixth State.
Am an Igbo girl from Anambra. I support Anioma State
The person that tweeted that rubbish that you guys are showing in your studio is very insane, and you media guys that doesn't have anything tangible to discuss are very very insane. You guys keep looking for a way to degrade and sabotage the interest of the Igbo's. Your hate and bitterness for Igbo's, is what will destroy all of you. Nonsense!
In 1957, Nigeria had 3 regions with 21 provinces, 7 provinces each.
The question is how did 7 provinces in the north translate to 19 states, while the the two regions in the south have 17.
There's something fishy about all these, Kano has 44 LGAs, while Bayelsa has only 8. Kano have 22 House of Reps members while most states have between 5 and 10.
If anybody's hatred on the Igbo makes them not to see these flaws, it's entire them and whichever God they serve.
The southeastern states are more financially viable than at least 60% of the northern states with glorified villages as their state capitals. We have to go back to the drawing board if we sincerely want to stay together as a country, otherwise, Nigeria has to be unbundled.
What is the entire population of Igbo land?
Kano state have population of 28 millions.
We are waiting for your answer.
Maybe you should study political mathematics, and know the meaning of "proportional representation".
