Far Cry 2 is arguably the best game in the series, the anti-war concept and the setting of African savannah is spectacular. the story is a reflective of the real events in Africa of at that time, which were just terrible. (imagine how normal people were living in that hell when two sides were fighting everybody like dogs) FC2 is probably the most mature and darkest game in the series, for it's concept of encouraging violence (Spec Ops the Line) it also has a lot of philosophical stuff, and the gameplay is very fun at the same time of being janky lol also in case you don't know so there's another theory that Jackal is actually Jack Kraver from the first FC, and he is connected to every FC game as a arms dealer of both sides

Most of the far cry series teaches you only one thing. And that is to recognize ones own character depending on their choice. To me the best story was Far cry 3. Best villain Vaas. Also best hero🙂Pagan Min.
Yes far cry 2 was good!!! But the extension of roaming in far cry 3 was amusing....its storyline and the villain ''Vass" was greatest of all time!!! What a game it was!!! So firstly fc3 then fc2....
Not only story, it has best setting. Its the only far cry which had rain. Really great graphics. the location was perfect. The mechanics were best, guns getting rusted, etc. Repairing cars looked real. Malaria gave added bonus effects. Great sound track. Duniya engine felt like real Duniya. I found Jackal most badass villain of them all, if you listen to his tapes its so mature, true and dark. The map was real, players actually had to put cellphone on the screen, as if like a real explorer. The game was awesome and way ahead of its time.
