- For today’s video some of the big cats here at Single Vision Inc. are testing out their bite force strength and seeing if they have what it takes to crack a coconut! We use lots of different types of enrichment here at Single Vision and are so excited to share the reaction to Tank, Binta, Timba, Vati, Sahara, Sarabi, and Gemini to their very first coconuts.

The faces all cats make when they smell something they arent familiar with always makes me laugh 😂😂

I didn't realize how much bigger Binta is than Tank. Binta is jealous the coconut is getting more attention. They really do have unique personalities.
Always nice for short guys to get a chance from the ladies for a change...but hey. When you've got looks like Tank - you're bound to get all kinds of attention 💖🌟🥰
Oh yeah, Binta grew lots over the year.. She's a Lioness, so she's going to be bigger than Tank.

They make that face in order to open up their Jacobson's organ to help them smell.

I’m still waiting to hear how Tank & Binta became became so close. They definitely seem to enjoy each other’s company. 😁❤️

While Binta was unsure about that coconut 🥥, Tank didn't like the smell. He tried to figure it out. It's not like watermelon. The lions definitely gave stink face! All the big cats did. Noone broke them open because they were stinky coconuts 🥥💨
Yep! I think They were determined (especially Tank) but decided it wasn’t worth the funny taste 😂
@@safarisammie I think it’s the coconut hair that’s making them not want to bite into them. It’s gotta feel like really tough grass/hay to them, especially when they get it i. Their mouths, it obviously doesn’t taste good either, lol 😂
And coconut shells are very strong
Jaguars have to the best of my knowledge the strongest bite force and their preferred way to kill is bite thru the skull of their prey... One of my biggest reasons I like them best
@@sealarynJaguars have the strongest bite force among the big cats, but there are other animals that are stronger. The saltwater crocodile has the strongest bite of any animal on the planet as of right now. Other contenders are Great Whites and orcas are contenders but their bite force has not been measured in a controlled setting. But yes, jaguars have the strongest bite of any big cat with tigers as a very close second. This is why jaguars are the apex predators of the Americas and can basically eat their prey out in the open without much fear of their prey being stolen.
Tank is so gentle. He is my favorite. I love how Binta has a motherly approach to the coconut and then gives it to Tank.
I have watched many jaguar vids and learned that jaguars are really sensitive to privacy. When a jaguar is given something interesting and knows humans watch over its reaction, it pretends to be uninterested or lazy in front of humans. Jaguars look so gentle and peaceful but we don't know what they are thinking. I should say jaguars behave like "diplomats."

They need a reason to try to crack it open, because they definitely would have the strength to do it. They just don't have the incentive to do it.

Tank could definitely crack that coconut. A jaguar's bite force is ridiculous!
Pound for pound jags have the strongest bite of any of the big cats by a considerable margin.
I'm proud to know that an American big cat is the world's champion when it comes to bite force!!!!!! Fun fact,the name Jaguar, if I remember correctly, comes from a Native American language, and means " he who kills with one jump". I believe Jaguars ambush their prey by hiding behind bushes,then they jump out from their hiding place killing their prey with their powerful jaws in just one jump.

@@emmanuelmasih2296 there's a smal population of Jaguars in Northern and Southern Mexico,and if I remember correctly, there's been documented reports of Jaguar sightings in Arizona, Mexico is also part of North America. Jaguars are American big cats because they inhabit the American Continent.
@@grahamstrouse1165 Not significant! It's like 10-30% stronger than Lions or Tigers pound for pound. Though, Lions and Tigers still bite harder since they're 2x larger than Jags on average.
Any claims that Jags have 1500-2000psi bites have no empirical data to back it up unfortunately! 10 years of searching and I'm still looking for any scientific institutions to verify this claim.
It's just as mythical as the claim that Lions only bite at 650psi.

Must be a reason of why the jags are so beautifully painted, by nature.
There is a symphony, of shades of yellows, browns, with marks in pure black and white.
Somehow his belly, is painted in black and white.

Pantheras, have a similar beautiful colored fur, hard to understand, jags are from Brazil, Pantheras from Africa, somehow nature found the same solution for both of them.

You're right
It is a form of camouflage. The spots allow them to blend in with the shadows and light of the shrubs and dirt of their homes. It's hard to imagine unless you see it in action but they are nigh invisible in their natural habitats. I encourage you to look it up. I never end up being able to spot them.
I'm thinking if you either shake it so they can hear the liquid swishing around inside or you punch a hole in one of the spots so the coconut water drips out and they can taste it when they lick it.
