    Yes, Hi.
Long time watcher, first time commenter here.
Please add a sick base and stereo system on this bench. You already have the holes for it.
Looking forward to this next part, good work!

To make a template for the seat, start with brown paper. Lay the paper where you want to place the seat. Fold and mark the paper along the inside curve of the arm rest. Make cuts as needed. Repeat with fresh paper until you think you have a fairly good template. Then trace your paper template onto rigid cardboard. Continue to cut and fit cardboard until you are satisfied with your cardboard template. Be sure to check that your template is a perfect fit on both the left and right end of the bench. Trace your perfect template onto your wood plank.
I have used paper to trace an outline from upholstered furniture when making slipcovers. When I have a successful pattern piece for a complicated curve, I save it in case I ever want to reupholster the piece. When I wanted to purchase flower pots to fit a quarter round shelf, I cut a paper template of the shelf. I took the template with me to the garden center and used it to select the various sizes of pots that would fit my shelf.

    Very cool .
I like to use cardboard for cuts like you got going here . Once I get it to shape then I just tape it to my project and cut the wood. I was also thinking if you don’t get your cuts close on something like this wondering if you could hide gaps with some kind of molding maybe.
Great project tho I’d like to try this just wondering where I can find this rounded footboard at 😆 lol

Chuck C thanks! I’ve used that method for cutting out chair seats before. I didn’t even think to apply that here! Sometimes you just need a fresh set of eyes. Gonna mention this in part 2.

Zeb, do you have an apprentice program so we can send our husbands to learn from you so they can complete our honey-do lists? From the comments on many videos I've seen, seems like there's a demand for it. 😉🤣

Carrie Beth lol. Zeb has the craziest hours. Husbands would loose it. We both stop and take care of kids all day long lol

You should have made a cardboard cutout
