I am sorry, things will get better!
hotel? trivago. Hi sorry it’s not an illness.
@@meganmercuro3212 it is
yeah no it’s not an illness it’s a autosomal recessive disorder. I have non congenial adrenal hyperplasia it’s not an illness where you just contract it like the common cold. I just thought I would inform you I’m not trying to argue just thought it would help u understand that it’s a disorder not an illness
Megan Mercuro ik I made the comment a few years ago but thanks for informing me I appreciate it
Thank u so much
I have both PCOS and CAH. I’m so worried for myself. I have mental breakdowns everyday because of how helpless I feel. I’m currently waiting to get back blood test results

@@inhumanbean6812 Yeah, I think some women can have both. I have non-classical adrenal hyperplasia, and because of the excess male hormones from a young age I developed cysts on my ovaries as well.
@@alexandra9944 Interesting.
Brilliant!!🤩
Thank you for letting me know
Excellent Video, my son was born with CAH diagnosis at birth and now on regular therapy every 8hrs, but fortunately no symptoms at all so far. He is very normal except at times he gets very nervous and sleep very late. When the dosage was reduced, seems all normal now. He is only 3yrs now. We actually had to be done a DNA testing and we both were carriers. A case of 1 in 16000 just got us.

DONGO I do too! Nice to see another member sharing this rare condition haha. But this is actually very interesting!
so do i!
My little brother has it
I've got it too. 46 years worth. Also CAH Classic (Salt Waster).
Tq for the short over view
amazing
I need this video in spanish
Simple explanation of a complex disease. I have the gene as did my mate. My daughter has SWCAH and is turning 48 next month. She has escaped death so many times. Too many do not take this seriously. They think oh just a hormone imbalance, no its much much more and is indeed life threatening at times. Argued with many an ER doc. Drs...nurses..when you come across a rare disease know we never expect you to know all about every disease but we expect and need you to rely on us as the advisor both in treatment and in referrals to our docs for guidance.
It was very simply and clearly explained. Thank you so much! 😊❤
I have CAH(non salt wasting type.) This is spot on!
Nice to meet a fellow CAH patient. I am too a salt water type.
What kind of medicines you are taking? What you have to do with your CAH? I'm living in Poland and treatment here is horrible...

haven't had my period for 4 months now. and I have CAH21
iam also cah
Can anyone suggest the best hospitals to get treated
I could be wrong, but I believe hyperplasia is a growth in the number of cells and hypertrophy is a growth in the size of cells. Hope my suggestion helps make the video more accurate!
benign prostatic hyperplasia? increase in number of cells will ultimately cause enlargement of an organ :)
Baker Jabir My type of CAH is when I was born WITHOUT adrenal glands...
Inferna Lyrics7 could you elaborate on that please?
I was screened when I was born for it and somehow I passed but I did have it. My mom took me for a monthly check-up and the doctor was like it is probably nothing but get her checked. My mom said if she could do it he next day. It being potentially life-threatening my doctor said no do it now. It turns out somehow I lived a month with out any knowing that I had it. It is a miracle that I'm alive.
You could have NCAH... non conforming adrenal hyperplasia. I have that... was diagnosed at 5 years old. The only difference is it doesn't "appear" at birth
Can i ask you some questions related to it?
I want to get sone info?
@@samwitch2102 I have it too. Is the cause genetic still? But is it a different gene than the classical CAH and hence milder?
@@alexandra9944 as far as I am aware, it is still genetic. I gather that both my parents have/had the recessive gene and therefore it was fully expressed in me. But honestly I don't know the full answer; I'm merely a bartender. No medical or science degree here
@@samwitch2102I have NCAH but I appeared to have it when I was born.

BossBen you can not because you need to take scheduled pills
No you cant. I tried to join the marines...they shot me down because of CAH. All branches of the military have an entire encyclopedia on which health conditions to look for.
I tried joining a long time ago. They said no. 🙁

I wonder if adrenal hyperplasias may explain (non-HIV positive) AIDS. There appears to be a correlation between AIDS and adrenal dysfunction.

I was born with this disorder. It is awful. My adrenal glands hurt all the time. I can't do stress or work. 😐This is a awful disorder.
what happens when there's a defect in the receptor though?
I don't know. I'm in menapouse now. I don't take meds for C.A.H. anymore. Aside from being XL I'm pretty healthy.

I have Infancy Complex Post Traumatic Stress Dissorder and have been trying to pinpoint why I get all Vascular and go Incredible Hulk. So here I am to research how not to go psycho in the workplace everytime (4 ×) Adrenaline Dumps into my bloodstream and everything becomes a life and death situation, lmao.
Low blood sugar and salt, yep.
Horny, hahaha.
CAH is very similar to metioidoplasty for transgender men.
Umm this was not effective, could try more information and less sketches. Noooo one really wants to see how different health professional treating CAH could or may look like. But most of us could have used some knowledge on “faulty” genes actual name and their path physiology. Unless this lecture was only designed for lay man use. What a waste.
Why would you want to treat this condition as a man? It's like having natural steroids built into your system...
Ashwin Moses in cases like mine you die without the treatment so you have to take steroids. I can think of so many other reasons why but the list is too long
@@ethanward571 It's interesting, does it actually suppress the production of cortisol or fail to produce it entirely?
Ashwin Moses it fails to produce it entirely in my case but I think there are some milder forms. You can watch a video by CanadaQBank they give a very detailed explanation :)
@@ethanward571 mine does the same
Unfortunately if I don't treat mine I will get sick & die.
