when u started this video saying i wouldn't have to memorize that chart i knew i was in love.
Another easy way that I remember 11, 17, and 21 is to turn all of the 1's into an upward arrow. The non-1 numbers will be downward. The first number is the mineralocorticoids/BP and the second number is the sex hormones. Potassium will be opposite the BP. So for example in 21def, Mineralocorticoids and BP will be down, sex hormones up, potassium up. Simple and quick way to remember them especially on the boards. But this video is great too!

My mnemonic is very similar to M. Abdo. The way I remember it is, Aldo the CAT!
Number 1 = ↑, In Example, 21 = 2↑
C A T (cortisol, Aldosterone, testosterone)
2↑ will ↑ testosterone
↑7 will increase aldosterone (salt, and the water will follow the salt)
↑ ↑ will ↑ both Aldosterone and Testosterone (aldosterone will not ↑ but deoxy-corticosterone will ↑ causing almost the same effect)
C or cortisol will always be down for that reason it doesn’t have any arrow drawn.
↑Aldosterone ≈ ↑minerocorticoids = ↑salt = ↑BP and is opposite to K. / The same will happen with opposite arrows.
↑ Testosterone = ↑ sex hormone = female will have ambiguous genitalia/ males will have early puberty
↓ testosterone = ↓sex hormone = female will not develop secondary characteristics / males will have ambiguous genitalia (look like females)
This works for me hopefully will work for you too!
