this one is one of the best explanation tutorial out there. great work.
thanks for making this video and explain it so well. I was struggling to find a way to understand the concepts and none of the udacity course or other videos helped me
Thanks a lot for taking time out to make these videos. I found them very useful.
Maverick Iceman You're very welcome. Glad to help.
In 17m25s, there is 394 - 147 = 220 Really? (What?) it is 247.
Thanks a lot for this very useful video in understanding the descriptive tendencies.
I appreciate the author taking the time to bring us through a journey on descriptive statistics.
Thank you very much Professor, really helpful
thank you so much this video has really helped in understanding my results as well as discuss them.
+Lesedi Nduna You are welcome.
Thank you for this! Super helpful
I am a glutton for knowledge. Please show more lectures. Thank you.
Thank you so much.. it was very helpful tutorial .
Thanks for the video. Its resourceful
excellent , clear and understandable
thx
Very educational for those people who will take a licensure examination like me this 29th and 30th :). I would just like to confirm my understanding. The median of 84.5 is because the middle scores are 84 and 85? Then what if the middle scores are 87 and 92? How can we determine the median? Thanks :) sorry for the confusion.
Hi your video is very clear but I still don't know how to apply this on this question:
Isabella Nunez is the marketing manager for Safe Home
Inc. Safe Home Inc. offers a new electronic home security device. Isabella is
examining whether she should offer a single package or a basic package with
additional options at higher prices. She is looking at data from a survey that
was conducted during the concept stage of product development. One research
question asked a sample of home owners what they would be willing to pay for
this electronic home security device. Assume Isabella gets the following three
sets of means and standard deviations (from three separate samples of home
owners). Which set of mean and standard deviation would suggest that Isabella
should offer the basic package and several options at higher prices? Explain
your answer.M = $425 and SD =42.2M = $505 and SD = 15.3M = $595 and SD = 120.5
excellent, thanks a lot really helpful....
You're an excellent instructor!
I appreciate that!
This has been really helpful! Thank you :)
You are welcome.
Good say Sir, done watching. Thank you.
Very well explained, you should be a teacher
really helped a lot ... much appreciated.
Hi Amanda, Thank you for the lesson. Very helpful.
And I have a question.
The dataset that I am dealing with has three such variables that are called PLAN NAME and BASE PLAN NAME. The values for plan can range from Monthly, Quarterly, Half Yearly to Annual to Academic, Commercial and so on. When I do a count in pivot table I see there are 994 types of values for Plan. Should I treat this as continuous variable or Categorical variable. If Continuous then what kind of Univariate analysis should I do?
Please help
Dev
Thank you professor.
Thank you !!!!!!!!
thank you
THIS VIDEO IS AMAZING
I am blind. I want to congratulate you on how well you are describing this information. Udacity is not helpful and not willing to be helpful. My professor at West liberty is also not as helpful. But from you, I am able to visualize what is going on. I still do not know what a bell curve looks like, but I at least understand what you are doing. Still watching, but so far I am following you very well! Great job at making it accessible so far!
perfecto!
The one standard deviation of the mean is 247 not 220
Thanks for excellent explanation on the statistics. Like ;)
Amir Salehi Thank you.
I calculated the variant it was 63, did make the mistake or was it my dumb calculater
Me too - it would be good to know what I did wrong
Best video ever
Really; I can say, you have more priority than my statistics lecturer
Very understanding
Variance? :(
if you any the link for this convertation ?
thedoctoraljourney.com/resourcesandmore/
shouldnt the median be 85? not 84.5?
Mean is sometimes so ludicrous even we cannot consider for high ANOVIZED data.
Please give me a copy of the powerpoint?thanks
nice
1:48 The formula of the mean should contain parens. Very rude typo.
Thanks darling, it clearly helped me.
Thanks dick,
Thank you Thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+TED_E_WESTSIDE You are welcome.
Plss help me to answer the may hw
good
I know that I'm not the only one to say this, and not to under estimate the study,
but; Mark Twain supposedly said that there were three types of lies,
Lies,
Damn lies,
and statistics.
It is completely wrong standard deviation because if you apply square root of 21, so you will get smaller than five. How come did you reach 147???
Isn't the media is 83.5? 98+69/2
+The doctoral Journey thanks for doing this but you should really slow down a bit.
This is perfect for English speakers. If you have difficulty with English, you can slow down the video yourself, by changing the parameters.
Kayalan ko nag mag tuturo sakin
I am not sure what your question is.
So when you calculate VARIANCE if its N,then we divide by 10, if its n, we divide by 9!!!! You made a mistake
