When rollerblading, pad it out when in doubt!
Very valuable video for me. Just started skating again at 38. Still have some ways to go to become more confident on my feet. Today I skated 6 miles to a auto shop to test my car's alternator which I took in a bookback. What a work out! The tip in this video I'm sure is going to help me STAY LOW. 👋🤜
Thanks J!! Glad I could help. Enjoy your journey...your confidence will be outrageous soon!
Terrific “Tik Tok Not” Tutorial 🚀
This is interesting, thank you for the video Bill. In speed skating they recommend that you do the same thing except with your hips and shoulders, so they recommend that hips and shoulders:
1- Don't Tilt (stay parallel to ground).
2- Don't Twist (stay facing forwards).
3- Don't move up or down.
However your method seems to keep you more agile and fluid using the head as a reference point
I agree with all of the above. Speed skating holds many lessons for street skaters.
Good tips, glad to see ya posting
Glad to see ya back at it. Got to admit I tend to tick tock my groove when I’m jamming with my music. Kinda like I’m dancing while rolling
Excellent video Bill, you always have something new to practice that improves my skating skills that I wasn't aware of 😁👏🏻
I always have to work on this too! thanks and enjoy!
Oh snap, this explains soooo much! Got some stuff to sort out out quads for sure.
Skate with purpose! Thanks Bill
Started back on my skates about a month ago. Bought some Rollerblades years ago to try and start again but my muscles couldn’t do what they used to do so i need to push through for a while until I feel comfortable again. I wish i had a video of me from 15-20yrs ago so I could see what my form is like. Even as someone who tends to go it alone there is a lot more resources on youtube and its easier to record myself so hopefully I can learn to skate better even if I don’t reach the same level of fitness from when I was a young skate junkee. At this point I’m only doing short bursts of speed and my form (sustained lowness) is probably suffering from lack of muscle in the right places.
Missed you bill! Thank you for the upload, will definitely take this into consideration
Excellent advice!
100%! Keep ‘em coming! Thanks for all of your great videos this year! Cheers to many more!
Thanks so much S!! Your encouragement has been inspiring!! 🙏🙏
Great tips as always, I'll make sure to look out for those mistakes on my next session. Thank you 🙏🏻
Your number one in the world I like you
Thanks, really appreciate these breakdowns.
Amazing video good pointers . Your the reason why I continue to practice on improving my in-line skating. Thank you
Thank you so much!!🙏 Enjoy practice!
thanks for your tips! Ill love to have a tutorial or some tips for fast and short curves, like the ones that have a roller cross competition
Thanks Bill!!
I've been ice skating since my outdoor rink opened up this December, and aside from wanting to get better edge control, I also wanted to be able to just fly out there while looking effortless.
Once I can get back out there, I'm going to keep this in mind while I'm skating. It seems so obvious to keep my head still so I can keep the rest of my body/ stride in line, but for whatever reason I never thought of it myself. Thanks for the video and giving me another skill to work on and incorporate into my own flow.
Thank you Bill
always good to hear your advice! Thanks!
Stay low... Happy New Year 😎
Happy New Year D & D!!👊
@@BillStoppard thanks dude 👊
Another great video. Will you please post videos of your gym workouts and beat skate related weight exercises? Thank you
Interesting viewpoint! 😉
1:59 Bill gets a power boost from seeing a doggie.
Ahh another ice skating video! Great! Just went ice skating yesterday, and I noticed I get tired way quicker
Once you get more efficient, ice will be easier; less friction and lighter skates. Enjoy the ice!!
Thanks bill, your videos are great 👍
awesome! thanks!
Ok, I'll try to give that some attention.
Let's go full chicken mode!
very helpful, thank you bill
@bss Head positioning....wait are you my old tennis coach, or maybe my motorcycle instructor? 😆
I thought my technique needed improving, but this video really highlights I'm just not strong enough to keep the stride under control at speed.
A super deep clean stride is hard work! Kill it A!
Hey Bill! What mic set up were you using at the beginning with the lav? Looking to get one but the Rode is the only one that seems compatible with the 360 and I don't really need audio very much on the 360. My phone on the other hand has a lot more options like the inexpensive Ulanzi J12. I like the idea of voicing over if needed like you do in post. Great videos as always buddy. Paul
Am I the only one watching because the guy is very cute ? 😊🙏
Sorry Bill. I had to say it 😅
@@decouvertesantebien-etre1264 I can't blame you a bit! 😂
Bill, have you tried cross unders instead of cross overs like in hockey videos?
Well I cant say I`m going to be NICE! well not to myself anyway. I watch...I learn...I visualise and TOTALLY get it then go and skate the next day then constantly beat myself up for NOT getting it or bottling out at the last minute everytime I try something new Grrrr
🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏💪
🔥🔥🔥🙌🙌🙌
How fast is your top MPH ?
90 mm wheels?
any Tampa FL skaters?
Not wearing anything else than Adapt Brand I see.......
So, basically, skate like a chicken :D
