Amazing how many people refuse to wear pads, helmets, crash pants, etc. Seeing that girl fall on her butt and on her hands and whatever else ......since I didn't watch the whole video....it just makes me wince. Been guilty of it myself. The lingering pain of the injuries that I've had in the past from not taking care of the protection aspect of it will always remind me of what a martyr I was for fashion myself at one time. No problem looking like a 'nerd' these days. None at all
@@RealNaisuCinema They're not the only one who didn't feel right about continuing to watch this after seeing a "new skater" encouraged to ride then fall on stairs while not wearing protection. It only takes one fall to become a vegetable or dead even at low speeds... IMO no one looks more silly out there than padless skaters.
@@tengonadacluewhatsgutsprec1419 she wasn’t directly encouraged, she was clearly keen to get it right. I’m going to guess that Bill probably suggested they could move on or take an easier line. You’d expect that wasn’t her first time going down stairs either. Ironically, the only skating scars i have are from when i started skating in high school and we had to wear pads. I then ditched the pads and never fell going at speed. Now that Im getting back into it 20yrs after I stopped I wear wrist guards if trying to do anything new or tricky. I don’t heal as well as I used to and after bad injuries falling from electronic devices in the last couple of years I went back to skating for fitness and so i could be more in control of how I fall. There are much more dangerous things that people do yet you probably wouldn’t judge them as harshly because it doesn’t look as frenetic.

Stephen stopping in the road multiple times (cut off by editing) makes me worry. He is good but needs to stop before he gets contact with traffic. I'm guessing he's not insured. His jump out of the skate park nearly hit the lady. A bit more public awareness but a fine skater. I'd love to be half as good
