As soon as this chinese pandemic ends there will be chances. Do not miss those. I've seen Mgla twice and a third time is a must. And grab some merchandising while you're there. They have amongst the best design aesthetics and use fine materials into their shirts and hoodies.
Mgła is not a typical Black Metal band singing about the devil's dominance. Their lyrics are on social changes, people's doubts and nihilism of the world nowadays. BLESSED BE GUITARISTS, THEIR WOOD AND STRINGS. BLESSED BE DRUMMERS, THEIR MEMBRANES AND STICKS. BLESSED BE VOCALISTS, FOR THEY ARE DRIVEN BY NONE. BLESSED BE BASS PLAYERS, LET THEM NEVER BE GONE! 🤪
Nietzsch influence is highly noticeable, especially within the last 2 albums on subjects like criticism of slave's moral and nihilism. An important band for our epoch.
what I like on these guys that they are staying still with the legs on the floor, not flying high in the sky = still concerts in small clubs, not even the problem to communicate with them on their personal FB accounts. That's what people like. They take themselves still as people, making music for people. Equality.
Mgla has given me so much inspiration. They have brought art back into my life after a decade hiatus. They have rendered and a concept many attempt but few succeed in expressing. I have made 20 or so works listening to their albums in the past few months. I feel like I could make 100 more. Especially since I found kriegsmaschine.
That's what I think now about making some new things. Looks like I'm not alone in that feeling about this band. They are so trve. Or maybe they touch something deep inside and ART is a byproduct of this if you are an artist.
I love how the MGLA shouts faded into the cymbal strokes of their last song. I like to imagine that the drummer did it on purpose. Also, I love this song SO MUCH.
@@johngavin1448 sad news is after the whole visa fee ramping up done by the U.S. it is now extremely expensive for bands outside the U.S. to come and play there
This band is just amazing and truly amazing .. l just love the raw sound that comes from those instruments it gives you the feel that they are just as best as many old school bands I think the raw sound sounds like old Bathory. MGLA is heading in to the world as a massive meteor ready to explode in to all metalheads hears YEAAAAHAHHHHH
"There is something about the rigid posture of a proper, authentic blind As if extended arms reached to pass his blindness onto others" I love those sharp, cynical & sarcastic yet very serious and sorrowful wordings in their lyrics! Humour and despair, laughing & spitting into the face of emptiness.
This is why black metal will always be the most vast and innovative metal sub genre. See how Mgla sounds and how for example Marduk, Sargeist, Immortal and others sound. It's black metal but sounds like another genre.
i'm seeing them live in two days. i have to say that since hearing them only 2 months ago on youtube, i have to say i don't know if i have ever been able to more relate to any lyrics from any band, like this before. the lyrics are meaningful poetry that doesn't need music with it. and the music is beyond words. the guitar work and the drums (o my .. the drums) are out of this world.
Thank you for bringing this video, but please people. Drop the phones and enjoy the show, ffs. I've seen Mgla twice, it's not the ordinary metal band. More like a psytrance metal band, but powerful music with impressive lyrics. And have some beers before they start playing.
The very essence of metal. There has only been a few bands to reach this level of achievement. Darkthrone, Hades, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and now MGLA. Can anyone name a few bands that they think has stood on the peak of the mountain in music?
@@monstrum1582 Dissection... Jon has some good songs, but too much filler. And murdering a gay person, going to prison and then killing yourself isn't high on the list of "achievements" to become a metal legend. Enslaved... they did one good record. Vikingligr Veldi. After that it went steadily downhill. These days they produce pop music that sounds like heavy metal. They are to Viking/Black Metal what Hair Metal was to Heavy Metal in the 70's.

wich makes them the most mature black metal band i know honestly. At some point you just gotta realise that the Devil Bullshit is just childish
Post rock 🤘
Yeah, exactly my thoughts. Mgla represent whole generations
Nietzsch influence is highly noticeable, especially within the last 2 albums on subjects like criticism of slave's moral and nihilism.
An important band for our epoch.
Mgła is truly something special. Even that bass player can't help but to groove to the perfectly written art.
Exercises in futility II is a masterpiece… that drum intro….
Exercise in futility 1 is the theme song of my life...

Absolutely unmatched. BM at its finest.
Haha, I love the audio! Never heard the drummer like this in "Exercises in futility V". Mgła is not from this world!
"Exercises in futility V" thank you
