Only on RUclips does the assembly just pull out my gentle speaking friend. In reality..it clings on like a BURR IN FLANNEL! Then you get the trim tool and pry on it, then the LENS pops off, then the tab on top half breaks off! So you take a few deep breaths and install the new bulb...cause the old one is just sitting there, staring at you like a black eyed bandit. NEXT you get some sealant and glue the old lens back on. There now your done! EVERY TIME!! Now you move to the drivers side remove the screw on top....and the lens pulls out with modest effort. Replace bulb....there.... finally...
Ha, I broke the rear tab on the passenger side as well, used a dab of clear silicone to keep it snug. Driver side came out easy. I watched several replacement youtube videos first. Oh well. great truck!!
Be sure to check the description for more information and links to related videos. Thanks for watching
Gently pulling the lens is so key. Thank you sir for the careful step by step instructions!
Your welcome. I think the sun must creep in thru the crack between the hood and fender. Even being gentle, it sometimes breaks. Thanks for the comment
Yes. Even though I was gentle, I broke the tab on mine and glued it back together. Thank you again!@@fixpro256
Good explanation & to the point on changing this bulb - its been 10 years since I've done this job. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. Very thorough & better than other's videos.

Excellent tutorial, thanks
Same set-up for 2004 Land Cruiser, worked perfectly, thx!
Awesome, no nonsense video. You should put the size/type of bulb in the description.
I just added it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Best video.
I love this truck. 2004 v6 prerunner 385,418 miles.
My father has a 2003 v6 prerunner with 280k. Wish it had a timing chain instead of a belt. Other than that, it's a great little truck.
