Very straight forward and to the point. I also really liked that you showed all of the clip and bolt locations after removing the part so we could see each one. 👍🏼👍🏼
Dealer ship recommended putting the clips on the back of the grill before re installing less likely to break the plastic about to tackle this proj with new grill and headlights hope this helps video is perfect 👍
Oh dang. I’ve always just done the replacements without removing the grill. You can access the headlights by just opening hood- pulling off the rubber housing and replacing bulb then just reattaching the rubber gasket.
Nice concise vid. 🙂 Would have been nice to see the vertical and horizontal adjustment after install. I'm sure its out there on another channel somewhere🙂
No access to the clips under the headlights; a sharp pull on the corners of the grill released the hidden clips. Unnecessary to crawl under bumper at all. Silicone spray all clips prior to reinstalling. All plastic fasteners are brittle.
Watched the vid. Started removing the grill on my 2001 Tecoma. Plastic pieces started breaking. Couldn't get the grill off. Was afraid to pull off the rubber piece surrounding the back of the headlight for fear that it would be too brittle. Took it to my garage. They replaced the lamp without having to take off the grill. Just unplug the light, pull off the rubber piece, replace the bulb (they used electrical lubricant because we are in a hot climate). They spent a good ten minutes ziptying the grill back on because the clips were not usable again. They said they often have to ziptie the grills back on because those clips break or fall in. Didn't charge me. So you don't have to remove the grill to replace the headlight. I had a feeling, but thought I'd follow a video instead. Damaged my vehicle.
There is no such thing as adjusting headlights. You can change the headlights as shown here or you can change the headlight bulbs but that’s all you can do to “adjust” it.
I'm having an issue in where the headlights on my Tacoma are aftermarket and one piece instead of two and I can't for the life of me find out how to get them out
Might be best asking on a Tacoma forum or Facebook group, I haven't working with those one piece headlights but I do know of the versions you're referring to.

Very helpful video without excessive chatter. Quick and concise! 2 thumbs up!
This video shows how to replace the headlight HOUSINGS not just replace the bulbs. Obviously! Great video.

Thank you so much. That was the easiest headlight change ever. Easily did it in under 30 min.
Excellent to hear, happy I could help!
@@4DIYers one question, is there a screw to adjust headlight left and right? i cant find it!
Any idea how a previous owner’s rewiring the high beam selection to separate aftermarket lights can be corrected back to stock ???

Well ok then!
The long rod tool to release the lower grill clips from the top was a great tip!
Here we go!

Thank you good sir

Why not give us a close up video of what your doing so we can see where everything is located
So how do you adjust the headlights
There is no such thing as adjusting headlights. You can change the headlights as shown here or you can change the headlight bulbs but that’s all you can do to “adjust” it.
There is a stud near the bulb wires that adjusts the beam up / down.
TO the point. Thanks!
Awesome. Ty

Very good video
Thank you!
Awesome
Broke like 5 of the 9 clips lol
To change the bulb you can just snap the rubber cap off and 3 prong unplug the bulb YOU DO NOT NEED TO TAKE ALL THIS SHOWN APART!!!!!
No need to shout. This wasn't specific to a headlight bulb replacement, there are people removing their headlights for other reasons.
@@4DIYers I was just putting it in here incase someone was not paying attention such as myself to be honest lol
Haha, no worries. Well if your headlights are foggy, now is a good time to redo them.
@@4DIYers true but those plastic clips are so cheap and old two of them snapped off on me so I try not to lol
