Thank you for sharing! Very easy to follow and only took a few minutes to change bulbs. More importantly have bragging rights w my husband for doing it myself!
I haven't run into that. Any corrosion can cause extra resistance and increase current/heat. Check the bolt that holds the ground to the body. Sand to metal under it, clean the bolt and connector, grease it and reinstall. New bulb with new connector and bulb grease. Those are the only things I can think of that might help. Is it melting where the you had to cut and crimp the new harness on, or is it melting the wire, or is it melting where the wire goes into the factory crimp near the bulb, or melting where the metal connector contacts the metal part of the bulb. Maybe another viewer may have some ideas. What year is your tacoma? What type of bulb (LED, halogen, high wattage...)?
If it's an 2001-2004 Tacoma, it's probably a 9003 bulb. The high and low beams are separate filaments inside the same bulb. One of the filaments is likely bad, so you will need to replace the bulb. I updated the video description area with some info that may be useful to you, like prices and relative brightness.

My right side head light will not come on in the low beam ,but will work in the high beam ,give some insight on what I can do to correct this problem.
