I'm personally glad they went with a new body. It highlights the differences of the earth lanterns as both Hal and John have the same suit essentially, but Guy and Kyle have their own unique attire.
i just love how distinct almost every figure looks because of the new sculpts. it really adds to the enjoyment when one of my main complaints with marvel legends is how most of the comic figures just revolve around the same 5-7 body molds. while they may not all be hits, at least with dc multiverse most of the figures feels like their own. which is funnier since these are usually cheaper than marvel legends.

Kyle Raynor is more in line with the classic look of Green Lantern from back in the day...when I was a very young comic book nerd. I'm talking the 70's here.

This is nice! If we can just get a mega fig comic Darkseid and a standard comic Wonder Woman we’ll be golden! The releases have been fantastic, Dr. Fate/ Hawkman/ Black Adam/ Man-Bat/ Bane just EPIC 🤙
The texturing to me is what sets mcfarlane figures apart from other brands in the same price point. For customizers like myself even something simple like a wash really brings these figures to life. For toyphotography as well the texturing really shows. And also like you said it really modernizes the figures.
The plastic is of good quality, too. The color mismatch on the skin for this figure is a bit of a problem. Overall, these figs should have more alt hands.
I like how his mask is just like how it is in the comics.

I like how they made his costume very accurate to the blackest night comics. Even though his costume is roughly this shade of green, I do think the lime green could be a little darker.

This figure is much better in person than in photos. I wish they would have included interchangeable hands so he could hold his lantern and his sword at the same time. Seeing as how Kyle is an artist, it would have been nice to see something other than a sword construct. Swords seem to be the default fallback. I can at least give McFarlane props as he vary rarely reuses accessories. About the most reuse we see are Flash lightning effects, but even different Bat family members come with different grapnel guns and batarangs. Characters that have swords I think always have a sculpt that is unique to that character. I appreciate the extra mile in that regard. Much better than the same old swirling fire/spell/energy and Kirby crackle wrist circle, and circular spell effects that are just recolored for every Marvel Legends figure! But, Kyle is a nicer figure than I thought he'd be. Of coarse I was going to get him as I wanted every Atrocitus piece. Don't be surprised if McFarlane releases a Gold Label Kyle Rayner in his original costume, which I think is what we all actually wanted.
Loving the texture of Kyle's suit. The only thing that bothered me about this figure was the lime neon green color but like you say looks MUCH better than the original promo photos. Kyle looks fantastic with the rest of the Justice League and he's going to look great with the new Parallax figure as well. I'm a 90's kid so having those two Green Lanterns is a huge win for me!

Just got this guy yesterday. I LOVE IT. I'm generally not a Mcfarlane fan (I only pick up a few a year), but this is easily my favorite DC multiverse figure. It's not perfect, but I was very surprised how much I'm enjoying it. Great review!

Another great video boss I hope we get some more Green lantern corps and maybe some red yellow or blue lanterns I can't wait to see how far Todd goes with this line and by the way I saw the previews for a movie yesterday about Todd McFarland I'm not sure where it's going to be on it's called" like hell I can't"

I saw this guy at my comic shop the other day and I really want the Atrocitus but I'm not a big fan of the rest of the guys needed to make him I wish they would just release him as a big fig but I think you have convinced me to pick up this Kyle Raynor fig as I only have Paralax green lantern and while I really like him I would like a couple other green lanterns

Kyle Rayner is my favorite green lantern so ofc I'm losing my absolute shit over this figure! Also you mentioned Final Fantasy 7 and now I can't not think of Cloud when I look at his sword 🤣

I don't get why Todd hasn't released an updated Hal Jordan with non-gorilla arms yet. Kyle looks pretty good.
I really like the shade of green but I wish that there was one colour for all the lanterns who wear matching uniforms, might put him in the league and have the other lanterns separate, if they do his other costume with the white stripe I hope they match the darker green

They did not have to give this man so much goddamn cake, but I am thankful for it. He's got an ass like Dick Grayson. I honestly picked this guy up just because I was blown away by how good the anatomy on him overall looks.

(Edit) definitely gonna need to darken his face skin color, since the ears and neck are unpainted plastic

The only figure I bought from that wave. Hope Mcfarlane toys has plans already on queue for other human green lanterns, from Alan Scot to Jo Mullein.
Good review. I'm thinking the publicity stills did not do this figure justice. It looks a lot better under your camera. I passed up the last two Green Lantern figures. I thought there was not enough green on John Stewart and I didn't like the head sculpt on the Hal Jordan figure. Will I get this one? I want to see it in hand first but it's a strong possibility.
Here's hoping they don't screw up Guy. He was always my favorite GL. Well him and Kilowog.
I love Kyle and u being an artist yourself I’m guessing resonates with you a bit. Just how he uses his construct’s is so much more imaginative and cool usually. But this figure the face is way too white, u can see the mismatch and if was tan as neck would make huge improvement. He almost looks Jokerized/joker toxin/ infected whatever u call it, white face red lips. Idk weird looking, a little wash and he would be great. It’s a shame more and more have to add a little paint to figures to actually make them good figures.
I always loved Kyle Rayner, but he have been put him aside along the years, i think they even rebooted the character to te point his father was no longer mexican...but i still love how funny and creative he is ^^
Now we just need a white lantern kyle rayner unless they just give us a white lantern wave like they did with the black lanterns

Looks like a real McFarlane figure of the year contender on paper here. Glad to see the figure meet most of those expectations - even if some of the aspects like the paint job aren't great.
