The Sound of Music is a 1965 American musical drama film produced and directed by Robert Wise, and starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer, with Richard Haydn and Eleanor Parker. The film is an adaptation of the 1959 Broadway musical of the same name, composed by Richard Rodgers with lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II. The film's screenplay was written by Ernest Lehman, adapted from the stage musical's book by Lindsay and Crouse.

Absolutely beautiful. You make me feel like I'm sitting in the theater again in 1965. Such memories come flooding back with my grandmother. It's as if I'm actually there again some 57 years ago watching The Sound Of Music. FANTASTIC!!!!!

My father used to love this musical, so it became our favorite household movie when growing up.
I haven’t really found any pianist who plays these two of my very favorite songs from the movie. The opening theme ‘The Sound of Music’, and ‘Climb every mountain’. Thank you!!
