Thanks Michael, you're unlikely to see another one on the road that's for sure! I can't even remember the last time I saw one for sale to be honest. Howmanyleft say there's around 7 taxed in the UK (all models) and less than 40 in total including all those on SORN.
Hi Dayno, Congratulations for this purchase. I own a ZR (same specs as GR but in Coupe body). More precisely i got a 1981 model (the one with a XW7 109.9 engine). In France these cars (GR/ZR) exist with slightly different engine specs ('80, '81, '82). Really these cars are great but be careful with cooling system and head gaskets. I got WAY more informations to share with you if you're interested in. Feel free to ask, it's a pleasure to talk about these gems.
Hi, thank you for your comment, good to know what to look out for, if I were to have another one of these, I would quite like a 2 door ZS model but 104's are difficult to find here in the UK. This one I think has fared well for the 143k miles it's done, seems like they're pretty tough cars.
I had one of these - a 1982 104SR in the same colour. Great little car, good fun; great driving car - comfy, if a little bit uniquely 'French' in the way it rolled around corners. The usual niggles but generally very reliable with a few notable exceptions - I remember driving to university one particular day while holding the throttle cable (which had sprung free under the bonnet) in the driver's door window, tugging it to accelerate. Not a spot of rust on it, but it was the engine (more specifically the clutch) which finally gave up the ghost. I can still see those headlights, wistfully looking down at me as the car was craned up into the lorry to be taken to the graveyard - boy, how I wish I'd kept that car!
These are very rare now and possibly the predecessor to the 205

More details on the specs please, nice little car though!
I will try and include more about the spec for future videos. Thank you for watching!
There was a red French registered one near my college, didn't sound good. Knocking badly on half its engine
Haven't seen it in a couple months
Let me know if you do see it again, hopefully not been scrapped if it sounded like it was on its last legs.

Great story, thanks for sharing! I agree with you, it was a great drive for an old car, even with the mileage this one had.
