    Thank you for the project. My church has an annual auction and one of the things I am making to donate is 2 sets on 12 pairs of earrings.
    I hope to make both of the designs you showed, in different colors so none of the pairs will be identical.
    I found your video easy to follow and I like the pattern.
    Again, thank you for a fun project

    I love love LOVE these! As soon as I saw you video, I had to stop getting ready for work and make one right quick. LOL. I made the other one during my lunch break. This is the first pair of this style I’ve been able to make and have it not be all wonky. Thank you for your beautiful tutorial! ❤️

      I love your commitment Beckie - so wonderful to hear...hope you weren't late for work! I bet your previous 'wonky' pairs didn't look too bad either! ;-) x

      Jo Barclay Loggie Of course I was late for work! 😂🤣 It doesn’t matter though. I work in an office by myself, and my coworkers call me on my cell phone if they need assistance anyway. They know I’m always available. LOL. My son is going on a beach vacation with his dad & family next week, and I’m gifting these to his stepmom. They are perfect for her! I may even make a smaller pair for his little sister so she will have earrings to match her mom. ❤️

    Please please please teach people to reinforce the attachment to a finding. It is not enough to tell them, they must be shown. Without reinforcement the piece of jewelry will break. I struggle with getting my earrings into the 50 year old holes in my ears(yes still). Without the reinforcement that I do the connection between the finding and the beadwork would break.
    I really like your design and color way. Thank you so much for showing it. I enjoy your channel and watch most of your videos. Each time wanting you to reinforce. Thank you. 😊🌹🌹🌹🌟🌟🌟🌟

    Did you cut the last thread without any knotting ?

    • @JoBarclayLoggie
      @JoBarclayLoggie  2 года назад +1

      Hi Xenashi...If I've not done double half hitch knots to secure the thread, I will weave the thread into a little 'maze' passing through the beads before snipping it off. So, what I mean by that is I'll pass up through a couple of beads, turn and pass down through one and then go to the right or left and repeat...You're passing through the beads so that no thread shows but you're kind of tying up in it's own knot as you weave it away. I hope that makes sense! x

    Hi, what is # of the needle and thread that you are you using please?, thank u!

    • @JoBarclayLoggie
      @JoBarclayLoggie  3 года назад

      Hi Virginia
      My “go to” needle size is a size 10 and I tend to use 6lb fireline in either Crystal or black satin depending on the colour of my beads...x

  • @lizajameson7339

    For the 2nd line, do you keep putting 2 beads per thread brigde?

    • @JoBarclayLoggie
      @JoBarclayLoggie  Год назад

      Not sure that I completely understand your question Liza - but you only pick up 2 beads at the start of a row, otherwise it's one by one...x

    • @lynnewilley4599

      On the beginning of the rounds for brick stitch I start with 2 beads. And on her version, on round one with red beads she says start with two, then one

    I adore this design!
    however, "About 1 meter" is not nearly enough for this project. I ran out of thread just at the end and had to undo the whole project & start all over from beginning.

      @elizabethjones3325 10 месяцев назад +2

      You can add thread in the middle of a project. I don't like having to do that but it beats having to redo your whole project. Search youtube for adding thread. There are many tutorials for adding thread. Some projects require more thread than can be handled. In that case you would have to add thread so its a good thing to learn. There are different ways for different stitches & some ways you can do for pretty much any project. I would rather not have to add thread but sooner or later you will have to do it. Watch some turorials on adding thread & pick one that you like & that will work on pretty much any project. You will be happy you did because like I said it beats redoing the whole project

      Hi Cat - I'm sorry for your frustrations! Unfortunately everyone beads with different tension, some are loose, some are extremely tight so giving exact measurements is impossible. What works for some, won't work for others. Perhaps what I need to do is a demo on ending off and adding in new threads? x

      Hi Lizette, glad you like the earrings! With regards the sound issue - there appear to be a handful of people who have had problems hearing me in the tutorials I've done, most seem okay....but I did invest in new equipment and hopefully the volume on my more recent tutorials is better for those who have had problems with it before...x
