This can be accomplished with exiftool. To find the necessary tags examine a ProRes raw file from a camera that FCPX supports WB/ISO adjustments for and then add those tags via exiftool -=.

There is always BRAW. Which has the same quality as ProRES RAW, with full feature set, for half the bitrate. I wish more manufacturers were going with it.
Not with that softening that blackmagic does to their files, that's the compromise of trying to efficiently encode raw using dct into such a low bitrate. They had to sacrifice the microcontrast and the resolution of the image just to do so. Where as prores raw only goes down to 4:1, so even though they uses dct they don't have to soften and denoise the image. So you are actually getting the true resolution of the image.
Is that true about the dual native ISO? I was under the impression that the camera had to have dual circuits in order to have dual native iso. Otherwise there should only be one base iso. This is one of the main features and selling points of the S1H, a feature more commonly found only in cinema cameras. And others don’t seem to implement this (Nikon, Sony).
Awesome video Jordan! It's exciting to see ProRes Raw finally get .. "Raw" capabilities. Is there any way or any plugin you can use to edit ProRes Raw in Da Vinci Resolve? I really don't want to go back to Premiere.
Honestly I found the way premiere handles the raw is not ideal. Try looking into assimilate scratch. It’s free till end of October and has had all the functionality of ISO/WB for a while now. I just used assimilate to transcode to ProRes 4444 and then edit in resolve. Works really great!
I don't understand Nikon's position on that, but seriously, there must be an explanation for that, but I don't know how or why they didn't get added by apple for those new features.
Thanks for this video. That's a good tip on how to determine the two ISO with noise detection. Why have these new ProResRAW feature taken sooooo long to implement? Will it take another year or two to include these new features in Premiere Pro? Is the slow progress due to Apple's conflicts with RED's R3D codec? Oh, wait...I forgot this is Apple we're dealing with. They will likely have better ProResRAW support in the next iPhone and iMovie before complete support in Premiere Pro. Ugh....!

Yet another format war is brewing between Prores RAW and Blackmagic RAW. As the Mac slowly dies and drags FCPX down with it, Blackmagic Design is pushing to become the new Apple, enforcing Blackmagic RAW as the in-house standard in Davinci Resolve. Unfortunately, BMD is struggling with a few self-inflicted showstoppers. If you don't shoot with a BMPCC4K, which records Blackmagic RAW internally, you need a Blackmagic Video Assist recorder to encode your camera's Blackmagic RAW output stream. That sucks because everyone uses an Atomos recorder (which records Prores RAW, not Blackmagic RAW), not to mention the fact the Blackmagic Video Assist sucks (particularly with its faulty HDR support). Back to Prores RAW, which currently supports a variety of Nikon, Canon, Sony, Panasonic and Z-Cam video cameras. The lack of Prores RAW support in Davinci Resolve means you must stick with either FCPX (and the Mac as well) or Adobe post-production workflows. That sucks if you intend to work in HDR, which currently requires a Davinci Resolve workflow for proper metadata support. Of course, you can always give RAW a pass and record in LOG format using DNxHR, which eliminates Prores support issues and makes Davinci Resolve a viable choice. The problem with LOG, however, is that each camera manufacturer implements its own proprietary LOG format, which can complicate your post-production workflow with LUT compatibility issues when intercutting footage from different camera types (e.g. Panasonic GH5 and Nikon Z6). An alternative I'm currently exploring is recording footage in HLG (using either Prores or DNxHR). What makes HLG attractive is that it provides dynamic range comparable to LOG, in a standardized cross-platform format supported by a wide range of cameras, recorders, and NLE's. Unfortunately, the Z6 doesn't have HLG output, but the upcoming Z6 II does...

I hope they also add BRAW support to mirrorless cameras soon.
@@rishiraz1993 It depends on whether the manufacturers have enabled Raw Output - There's many more cameras that do, then what ProResRaw or Braw support.

Just gave a down vote for the next video "Farm to Table with Becca Skinner and the Canon EOS R6" since the comments are disabled and I stopped watching. Feedback not allowed? What's up with that DPReview?
Colors looks weird in this video.
dude needs to lighten up a little
The hole colour theory extravaganza is starting to become ridiculous.. Orange and teal is shit people! Look at the sky on this video! You NEVER see the sky having this colour. It looks like shit - pardon my french! I love this channel but I had to speak up! End this orange and teal trend right now! You're gonna feel sorry for this choice in a few years. It's like the atrocities done with HDR during the 90's and early 00's..
