- After spending 3 incredible days soaking in the sights of Kuching’s beautiful waterfront, I decided it was time to venture deeper into the city streets and beyond. What I discovered was a whole new side of Kuching, packed with fascinating attractions and hidden gems! From the historic India Street, one of the oldest streets in the city, to a variety of museums, parks, and friendly locals, there’s so much more to Kuching than meets the eye.
This walking tour was completely unplanned, which made it even more exciting! Every corner I turned revealed something new-whether it was local markets, cultural landmarks, or stunning architecture. Kuching has everything that a tourist, backpacker, or anyone looking for adventure could want in a city.
Whether you’re here for the history of the White Rajahs, the vibrant street life, or just want to enjoy the laid-back charm of Malaysian Borneo, Kuching is a must-visit destination that’s filled with surprises!
Don't miss out on:
Exploring the vibrant India Street with its rich history and lively atmosphere
Uncovering local museums that showcase the cultural heritage of Sarawak
Discovering beautiful parks and scenic spots that are perfect for a quiet stroll
Come along with me as I uncover the true essence of this incredible city. You won’t be disappointed!

I hope to see the island next time :)
Kuching City is very clean and Sarawak is the renewal energy hub in Malaysia......Sarawak is totally difference with Kalimantan...

Thanks for staying an extra day.
I needed an extra day to see more stuff :) Too much to see!
Nusantara - expected to be finished 2045... probably closer to 2060.
Really???? Wow. I did read that if the opposition party gets in that they will cancel the project?
Nusantara is under construction. Nothing much to see there
I was hoping to get a bike to ride around the empty streets but I don’t think my travel plans will allow me :/
@@olderbackpacker imagine Milton Keynes 50 years ago - a massive building site but hot and humid!
You’ve painted a picture in my head. Maybe it’s not a good place to go lol
Sarawak is the best state in malaysia. Very racially tolerant. Peninsula to me is racist.
Where is Peninsula area?
Peninsular people need permit to work and stay in Sarawak but Sarawak people can work and stay freely in Peninsular. So who is being racist ??
Sounds bad :/
@@olderbackpackerPeninsular Malaysia aka West Malaysia where popular cities like KL, Penang, Malacca is located.
@@wanabdulwahab6953pls understand MA63, nothing to do with racism.
