Great video, Tony. I am not surprised that it is a conversation starter. I would definitely be interested in trying out the propulsion motor. I am using a trolling motor or 2.5hp 2 stroke for my inflatable dinghy, but neither of them are ideal.
Thanks a bunch! I'm not sure if there is such thing as a perfect power source but when we finally catch up, you're more than welcome to take the Epropulsion out for a test run.
I bought one. Was great until the day the throttle stopped working. Three months later it is still not repaired although under warranty. Just sitting in Athens waiting for the small control unit along with 25 others waiting for the same part. Works great until it doesn’t.
I have been looking at a pod Navy 6 on the yacht to replace the diesel. I have discovered that if left in the water full time their longevity is not so good. I will stick to the old diesel and focus on sailing. Thanks for a great video and rundown after a solid experience using it.

Very disappointing! That's a crazy wait time for a part that, by the sounds of it, is a common problem. How old was yours when it stopped?

Cheers Phil! Given the costs involved, if the Bukh still has life in it, why not keep it.
it's good for what it does. if you expect to cruise around full throttle all the time, then they definitely aren't for you.
@@JohnBraman413 I think that’s true and also true of all motors. Thanks for watching!
I have an EVO and have had issues sorted under warranty
@@home.port-Sydney I hope it’s all sorted now. It’s frustrating when things don’t go as planned.
@@sailingelleray it arrived without a propeller and the watch was not charging and the battery went flat 4 weeks after full charge removed.
Its this good enough to move my 26 foot saiboat?
@@bryllupsfotofilm it’s very torquey but I think a bigger motor would be more suitable. Thanks for watching!
CON: Its slow and terrible at its intended purpose. Hope you dont need to go far or get there anytime soon.
