    Hello classic crew and welcome to today's video! Today, I'm sharing clips from a speech I gave for the Clare Booth Luce Center For Conservative Women's Florida Summit on dating as a conservative woman. I talked about five things you should know if you want to find the right guy! I also answered questions on sexual assault and if you should try to change someone while you're dating them. I'd love to hear your thoughts, so leave a comment down below!

    This is the type of thing that I missed when I was in church. The practical dating questions, just stupid boundaries talk.

      The churches don’t do a good job of really talking about this. Sorry but it’s true.

    Could you do a video on not being ready to date (starting or restarting)? And maybe a little of your affirmation that it’s okay to not be ready. You give really great advice, and I’d love to hear your advice and tips for woman who currently are not ready to date and the best ways they can spend their time.

    Great speech! Especially the last two parts. Don’t try to waste your time changing someone and if someone did something you did not consent to, you’re not ruined.

    "What's the worst thing that can happen?" regarding asking serious and personal questions on the 2nd date of someone you barely know? Lots. For one thing, a lot of people have trauma in their past, so even asking something assumed to be innocuous isn't always. Furthermore, if you ask a question of a personal nature before they're ready to share, they may lie about it. And once a white lie is told, it's that much harder for them to be forward with you about it in the future, because they've already lied. I imagine Abby's response to this may be something along the lines of "If they lie to you, you probably don't want to be dating them in the first place". Maybe so, but if you barely know the person you probably won't know they're lying, so its kind of beside the point. You can and should ask serious questions of someone you're dating, but the way to increase the likelihood of having fun on a date even with someone you're not compatible with is to loosen up a little, not to approach things with such a zealous intensity.

    Excellent point. Women SHOULD trust their intuition when dealing with men. People who’ve escaped from serial killers usually report feeling uneasy around that person, but failed to act due to politeness or fear of stereotyping. (Feminism has nothing to do with it.)
    I feel like young religiously rebellious Abby would have been a great role model for girls. Banned from singing in front of men? She becomes an opera singer! Cover your real hair? She tells you how to style it! And if she wants to marry, she’ll grill the dude on the second date, because she doesn’t waste her time on incompatible dogs. 🙌 Religion ruins everything. 😢

    How do I find a woman who wants to marry me? Who wants to have children with me? If I ask that, won't she believe that I consider an incubator?

    • @mima_piedade
      @mima_piedade Год назад +1

      What Abby said applies to women as well, a woman who would take offence to you wanting children is a women you're better off not spending time on, it's better to know early on if you're compatible and go your separate ways if you're not.

      If a man is so selfless, providing, generous, kind, and caring, it will make a girl admire them and want to have children with him. A wife wants to feel safe and protected, this means the man tends to her but also has just enough spine and assertiveness to lead. (Which is very different to subjagating aggression btw.)
      You can be upfront and say you would like to have children in the future, but do not lead with it like "I want to have children with you." That is what will make the woman feel like an incubator haha, if you treat her like a means to an end rather than another thinking feeling person with her own emotions. You must devote yourself to her, and she will devote herself to you.
      Hope this helps!!

      Then why are you here? And what exactly did you disagree with?
      I may not agree with some things (i.e. waiting until marriage), but generally she isn’t wrong with this. Finding someone you’re compatible with and that you have chemistry with is important. Especially if you have intentions for marriage and/or a family.

      Just because you disagree doesn't mean it was a bad speech. if you're smart, you will be able to learn plenty of good stuff even from people who have different values than you do.
