The timing of this video is impeccable. I may not be a mom, but at my job that I started at the beginning of summer, I’ve had to learn to prioritize. Now things are going much smoother and I can carry this into my home life as well. I’ll be getting married soon and I’m sure my hubby will appreciate😊 that.

I wear dresses almost end day but not fancy ones. We are talking easy, t shirt material dresses with pockets I can wear my orthopedic mom shoes with 😆 I also use aprons a lot in the kitchen and those have pockets too! And yeah it’s just not the same after kids. I can’t keep our home clean like I used to. When the kids are older I am told it gets better. Until then I’m letting it go some.

I totally get number one. I see these "trad wives" imitating 50s housewives in their attire. I just laugh. Being a homemaker does not require a certain wardrobe. Be comfy, go about your day, wear what is practical. If dressing like a 50s housewife makes you comfy, OK, but it comes off way more of a trope and caricature than honest.

Also there is a big difference between a stay at home mom and a stay at home homeschool Mom! Obviously if all of your children are gone to school everyday almost 8hrs+ each day, the amount of time you have to clean, workout, and prepare yourself and your home for your husband and children is exponentially more than if all of your children are home 24/7 and you are busy teaching them school. Giving yourself grace and setting realistic priorities to make your home functional, tidy, and inviting while also making sure your families needs are taken care of is so so important. Thank you for your insight and shedding light on sorting your priorities based on what's good for your family versus what looks good and aesthetic online. ❤

To me, it seems like you find it unbearable not being able to meet the standarfs you think you need to meet, do much that you have to throw shade at mothers that seemingly are able to meet said standards. They can't just be better than you at something, no, they "have their priorities mixed up". Maybe if you were not so judgemental towards other people, you would not judge yourself so harshly. Because I guess that is why you feel you need to explain to people why you usually act like and look like most other moms, exept they are usually working a full time job in addition to keeping a home and raising kids. 😊

The key quality of femininity - especially when the primary work is family - is empathy. Your video really made me smile. Keeping a clean house is important, but I have known women literally drive the household crazy with obsessive cleaning. The feminine empathy you show is honest, down-to-earth, and balanced.
I smile as well because I know the work is far harder than people who haven't done it realise, but I am an old lady now. I know that when you look back at the time spent with your children you will be so happy that you used your life and talents this way.
    I promise.

You always seem to criticize other people’s choices and celebrate your own. Case in point: “I’m a practical mom and those who aren’t have their priorities all wrong.”
And don’t get me wrong, I agree that your clothes should fit your lifestyle.
However, I also think that practicing acceptance, acknowledging that people are different and that there are few things that are inherently wrong, is a good thing to do. This is something I learned when I moved abroad and was exposed to other ways of doing things.

I can understand there might be pressure to fit into this: aesthetically, feminine and always organized picture for woman in that space.

I don't think she ever said Moms with tidy homes are "bad" Moms. It's often not realistic either, at least not for a long time. Kids can be like a tornado running through the house. Housework piles up within a few hours.
A lot of what you see on Instagram and RUclips is for the camera only. Go in to a home with 1 or more kids running around. It won't be perfect. It's usually lived in and at least a LITTLE messy.
