  • Used a free afternoon to go for a wander up the beach. Walked about 6km up the shoreline before settling on a place to settle in for the night. Used a new tarp shelter to block the late afternoon wind but still was able to have an awesome view of the beach. Cooked some unreal food and had a blast, also managed to capture a pretty spectacular sunrise.

    Seeing those charred burn marks in the bottom of your Trangia pot and pan reminded me of why I moved to non-stick gear for ALL my cooking surfaces. I got SO tired of scrubbing aluminium and stainless steel surfaces clean after just the simplest cooking exercise... Get yourself a Jetboil skillet, you'll never understand how you survived without it...

    Perfect spot to camp! Nothing like a good beach camp for the summer. Whats the area you are in like for fires? are they allowed?

    • @manandhistarp
      @manandhistarp  Год назад +1

      I think this will be the first of many this summer!! Zero fires allowed in this park, it's pretty tough to find spots that allow fires in QLD. Not too many parks allow it, wish it wasn't so strict but what can you do. You got it good in Victoria 🤙🏻

      @@manandhistarp yeah I hear Queensland can be pretty strict. Vicco is good, but I hear nsw is the best. Great video as well

      Yeah 100%, luckily it's not far for me to jump across the border. Got a few good ideas for northern NSW

      @@manandhistarp Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service are absolutely retarded when it comes to allowing campfires. Take Fraser Island for example. They want people to keep their fires in the round fire pits which are RIGHT BELOW highly flammable eucalyptus trees and surrounded by dry leaf litter, yet if they see you lighting a tiny 12x12cm Bushbox on the beach/sand well away from all the dry scrubland, they will fine you $800,000,000 for putting the island at risk of bushfire...
