You can change aspect ratio in Settings. There are only two options though: 4:3 or fullscreen. You can't change it per system, it's a universal setting so that once you set it, it applies to all the systems. If you have it fullscreen for PSP and then change to a Game Boy Game, the Game Boy game will show at fullscreen too. But if you set the aspect ratio to 4:3, then whatever system you play will use the 4:3 ratio.
@ZEROHOUR333 A SanDisk Extreme or Ultra of 64gb is beween five and ten bucks... and most likely it would be reliable. 🤷 What I don't get is the thing with the portable battery. You mean the SF3000 will work as a powerbank?
Just bought this Handheld. The novelty of this Handheld being a gaming powerbank compelled me to buy this Handheld. I hope we get Custom Firmware for this Handheld.
The lack of music in the PSX is not a fault of the emulation, it's the ROM that is used. It was ripped without the music to save size. Considering they gave you a 64gb card you'd think they could have fit the full size ones on there! But you can download full size roms and get your music back for PSX games. I love my SF2000 with multicore patch, paid $12cdn/9usd for it. If this unit can come even close to double the price I'd be all over it.
Any chance of a "Top 5 handhelds" and/or other form factors maybe with different price brackets type of video? I watch pretty much every video you do but there are so many of them it's hard to keep track of what ones you actually like best, unless i go back and rewatch them all while taking notes 😂
The entire reason I love the SF2000 so so so so much is specifically because it is basically the same buttons and plastic quality of a SNES controller... just with a screen and analog stick too! It's why I didn't care at all about the GB300, and it seems this SF3000 just kills everything I personally liked about the SF2000. I sadly have to pass, and hard!
Ya, at the increased price of the SF3000 and it loses every single thing I loved about the SF2000, people are better off buying one of the similarly priced Anbernic devices like the RG28XX.
Despite its name, this seems more like another "X7/X8/X12" etc device that tries to copy the PSP/Vita design but then runs worse than an early 2000s flip phone...
Yep. It's a scandal. Most likely this thing would have been a smash hit with its popular classic form factor, great display and audio, when they just would have used a proper button setup and a reasonable d-pad. But at least they invented the perfect setup to make the whole of the handheld community debate the stick placement, not only one half like with any other release of a portable gaming device. "The left stick is debatable, so let's put the right one where NOBODY wants it to be. And on SF4000 we'll put it on the back!" 😁 It's a scandal.
I’m just gonna do a visual here because it’s hard to describe. I’ve seen (°°), (°ₒ), and (ₒₒ) but I’ve never seen (ₒ°). Also, I had assumed in the first iteration that SF was a reference to “Super Famicom” but I’m starting to question that now that the buttons are in Xbox layout and the d-pad is PlayStation style.
I was so hoping this would play PSX decently, but even RE2 lags. On a sidenote, hopefully the sd card lasts until someone uploads the OS to put onto a good card like with the SF2000...or entire new OS would be nice too
that raunchy D-pad looks difficult. It's so close to the screen, your thumb is covering up the gameplay. I don't trust those shoulder buttons. They look like the variety that get stuck.
SF2000 with update it's great for basic stuff. I would look Intro XU10 or kinhank handheld. They cost around the same amound of money and have overal good performance. This SF3000 is one hot mess. In the end... what is the budget and what you like to play 🙌
@@dtsenear Honestly I want @froggythegamefrog9810 to explain because he's the one that says this Handheld is a Downgrade. I don't understand how this Handheld is a downgrade spec wise.
OH MY GOD!
I didn't even know this existed. 😱
I have an SF2000. I'm surprised to see that they made a sequel with greater performance.
It sure does.
SF2000 with multicore patch is an absolute little beast for the price. I wouldn't mind a bigger screen and longer living battery with PSX support tho!
Cool. Thx a lot for the video. I've been waiting of a first impression of the New Data Frog device.
Nice video! Thanks for showing the device. 👍
Summary:
BETTER than SF2000: 1. Screen, 2. Number of Emulators.
WORST than SF2000: All the rest. 😉

I ordered mine the other day, paid $22 for it with promo discounts on ali. I know it's not going to be great lol, but I'm a collector.
Same here, plus I hope this Handheld brings me back to the Dingoo Days! 😌
22usd is really cheap 😅
Plus it's a portable battery and a cheap 64gb sd card at least

I'll be sticking to my SF2000 with custom firmware then, thanks for the review 🙂
Yup for that price it's great.
Don't blame ya. The PSX support and bigger screen are the only real plusses to the 3000 when I got the SF2000 and patched it with CFW for $12cdn.
Just bought this Handheld. The novelty of this Handheld being a gaming powerbank compelled me to buy this Handheld. I hope we get Custom Firmware for this Handheld.
Is it a handheld? I didn't realise until I read your comment. Thanks!

"Sonic is way too loud" - that's kind of appropriate :)
This is not by Datafrog its an imposter. It also doesnt have an easily removable battery like the SF2000!
I wonder how rhe FS3000 compares to the other low budget hand held the M17?
I like my SF2000, I've given away like four of them, but the button layout on this 3000 model is a total deal breaker... hard pass even at this price.

A new SF2000 the SF3000 cheap but still needs more power so many other options but good to collect
How can they screw up the controls so bad lol
Having just no idea how to make an handheld 🤣

Doesnt it come with controllers ? 🤔
Only if you choose that option when you buy it.

Do you know the difference between a 1 P vs 1p pro
This is cool and there r some improvements but for the specs and all drawbacks u'd think its for 25 bucks. Pass!!.
Why is ugly Sonic the icon for Genesis games...?
A downgrade in many ways...
A Downgrade from the SF2000!?
