  • Ajit Chambers is next into The Den to pitch his idea to transform Down Street Station, London's old disused tube station, into an events venue. Chambers, who is seeking an investment of £2M in exchange for 51% of his Old London Undergound Company, ruffles some feathers with The Dragons after claiming he is not interested in their business insight.
An international sensation, Dragon's Den features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

That’s more than one property worth.

Also 2 million is not much for the project of such scale. With the right team and marketing it can be golden. Sadly, it's also very risky of there are no initial assets, connections or support.

dragons always play it safe so this is why as investors they’re pretty tame, they’re not that hip to the trends or market so they’re judgement is always old fashioned like you’d be surprised at what people would pay for and how well this business could do, a great pitch imo if you understand the events market enough

I think it's a great idea. I myself am putting together an authentic medieval torture chamber, where guests will be able to enjoy first hand a raft of experiences, including the limbering of the joints (i.e. I'll stick them on the rack), the art of silence (i.e. tongue removal) and the relaxation of the sphincter (i.e. spike impalement). This will be followed by a light brunch with a selection of craft beers on offer.
