In this lesson, you will learn how to solve exponential equations. These types of equations have the variable in the exponent of the expression. Typically, we solve exponential equations by trying to write the base of the exponent on both sides of the equal sign to be the same number. If the base is the same on both sides of the equation, then we can set the exponents equal to each other and then solve the equation.

You are truly one of the best professors I have encountered. I purchased your monthly membership last semester and my grade increased from a D to a B in chemistry. I purchased the monthly membership again for my new semester and let’s just say things are going great. Watching your lessons now. Chemistry is so much fun. Thank you.

Whenever I hear, the exponential functions, I always think of exponential function to base e. This misconception may be due to the word exponential begins with letter e. But generally it refers to exponential functions of any base.
Understanding the basics is funny and painful as well. Funny because they are simple; Painful because they won't make sense immediately. Anyway understanding the basics plays a significant role in our studies.
