The London Cab tastes like water with a couple of drops of stout added in nowadays.
I was quite impressed by midnight hen though, especially as it's hard to walk into a supermarket & find a decent stout now. My own local supermarket only offers about 5 (excluding craft) & none of them are great.
The darks are always the first to go at the local ale festivals though, even amongst the less familiar members of the crowd so there's definitely a market for them.

Yeah, Black Cab isn't as good as it once was, but I put that down to today's drinkers. I find a lot of breweries have pulled back on the flavour of their beers nowadays. It is hard to get a decent stout in the shops and online. The last decent stout I had was in Portugal, that's just a bit too far to go! Cheers 🍻🙂

Have you ever mixed up the stouts half of one and the other ? Would it work, I just wondered ? Champion video as ever !

Yes, I have blended stouts with other stouts, porters and even Old Peculiar. Beer blending is a good way to have a bit of fun and to improve poor beers that you have ended up with too many of them. I have used other stouts on a few St Austell beers. Cheers 🍻🙂

Yeah, it's a nice beer. I have had it on draught and it's better than the can. It's a bit pricey though, but it is a nice beer. Cheers 🍻🙂

Would London black cab give Guinness or Brewdog a wee boost ?

Yes, it would give it a boost of flavour, but it depends on the ratio. Best advice is to experiment to see which ratio works best for you. With this type of blending you are also bringing in mouth feel/texture as well as flavour. So, there will be a point where you start to lose texture for the benefit of flavour. Cheers 🍻🙂

I don't think I'd waste Black Cab going into a nitro especially Guinness😂 find nitro so artificial. Not tried the Midnight Hen as yet, cheers

I suppose you have a point, but Guinness does struggle for flavour. The Nitro pour is a gimmick and it does give it an unnatural feel and texture. But if you want more flavour in Guinness, then you are going to have to do it yourself, as Guinness isn't going to do it! Cheers Dave 👍🏻🍻🙂
