I’ve just been tying them into a knot.
For once I was doing it right to begin with. Thanks for the validation, I needed that. (It’s Monday) now to go watch office space
I wanna watch Office Space!
Damn, I’ve been doing it the right way my entire life. I didn’t even know there was another way 😆
I knew there was another way but I couldn’t work the bl00dy things out lol
That's the way I used to do it. It used to bug me for some reason with those things tied onto a cable. But over the years either losing them or spending hours trying to find the dang things this is now how I do it and really like it now.
I dig your style of video. Short, sweet, and right to the point with a bit of extra info. No filler material that stretches the video out to 10 minutes for no reason.
I def already knew how to use these in particular , but when I first found your channel a while back I was pleasantly surprised with some new info. Thought I’d subbed back then but I guess not, oh well. Just subbed. Looking forward to seeing more from you 🤙
Thank you for saying so :)
WAYYYY more people need this channel in their life!
Hah. So good! Thanks,I'm off to change all my cables.
Great video, I’ve been using these wrong forever in this application.
When I worked in AV we did both ways. Smaller cables that weren't seen by the client had them installed, while any cables visible by the client we would tuck and wrap so they could be removed on site. The trick is just sliding them off once set to the size. So much faster when you're laying out hundreds of feet of cable that need to be picked back up 8hrs later.
Love this video! Subscribed!
Wow! So clever!
Wow, thank you!
Just curious is Velcro toxic and it seems odd you wear protection to handle Velcro...?
no
Omg I love you SO much!!! 😂
Thank you!
Wait, who are the lots of people using those wrong? Hey seem pretty dang straight forward to me.
Fun fact: Velcro comes from a pair of French words that roughly translate to loop and hook - velure and accrocher.
I don’t know why but it hurts my soul for cables to be bent like that. I always use circular loops/coils. Over time the cable has less bend memory and generally stays straighter when releasing it for use.
This channel is crazytown! Extremely high quality content, subscribed!
Same!
Thanks so much!
Proud to say I have always understood this. Feeling clever for once. 😉
Wait why did I get an ad from a 1.6k subscriber channel? That said, I am reassured to learn I was actually using these right.
The reason I might do it the first way is for cable management of bundles of multiple cables that are going to be in place for a long time, like in a data center
Well excuseee me. I might have slept through velcro loop tying class.
No but really thanks for the tip!
Gloves required…
Always.
I been doing this right since day 1
Thanks for confirmation of my genius.
There's no wrong way. Just depends on the application. First way is more convenient if you plan on reusing the same strap over and over, vs a more permanent installation.
There's people who actually didn't realize how these work just by looking at them?
In contrast to others, I like the gloves. Easier to see what you are working with.
Oh. Neat.
Do we have to wear nitrile when using velcro wraps? If so i've been velcroing wrong the whole time🤣
Dude: "So this is how I see most people do it this way..."
Me, realizing he's starting off the video with the wrong way, which I've been doing: _Well, shit_
Chill bro! Why aRE YOU ALWAYS YELLING AT ME! haha, just kidding. First time watching. Good stuff dude!
I'm glad i saw this lol.
Is this a case where people just don’t read the directions, like the tabs to hold the foil roll in the box.
I've done it the wrong way for real short term usage. Otherwise, like a lot of other things, temporary things take on a sense of permanence, firmly attached to one end and then watch some folk struggle to operate it.
Right way to uae velccro wraps❤😊
What’s with the gloves?
I would partly disagree. For some applications, yes, but for others where synching up tight is important, your "wrong" way is much better. Using the buckle really aids in getting a tight wrap.
"The whole point of the mouth is to keep it there"
I need to try that one with my wife
I laughed way to hard at that. I tried that with my wife results where not good lmao
I've been doing it right. It seems pretty self-explanatory to me.
Show this to all your older relatives 😀🔌👍
People who don’t know how to install these correctly are the same people that need instructions on how to drink coffee.
Next can you figure out how to coil up a cable properly , that tugging on the cable was triggering af
Ok
Come on now Captain sparrow! Cords get coiled... Not mangled like that! 🤬🤬🤬🤣🤣
Thank you for enlightening others.
Thanks for the video reminder. It boggles the mind how stupid some of our mechanics are.
Are you allergic to Velcro wraps?!
Or its toxic...
Congratulations 🎉 you made me feel dumb!
No need to feel dumb!
Today I found out that people don’t understand how these work.

Who didn’t know this?
🤦🏻I’m totally guilty. Thank you. For Peat sake.....
I feel dumb!
And who didn’t know this?
PEOPLE WHO DID IT THE INCORRECT WAY ARE JUST PLAIN SILLY
A guy who wears gloves to handle Velcro picking on people for using a Velcro product incorrectly. Hmm, classic
Why the heck are you wearing gloves?
You aren't?
The rest of us are.
Wait this isn’t common sense?
If you coil cable like that yet moan about how to use the Velcro tie you are a hypocrite.
If it was longer, I’d gaffer coil it, but short cords? Nah.
Why is he wearing gloves? Is it really that necessary?
Neither way is wrong. Depends on your needs and preference.
