It seems to me "injector pulse width" PID shows the command by the computer (desired value) and is not an actual measured value at the injectors. I am guessing that if you disconnect injector number 4, the values will not change, unless the computer detects a misfire on cylinder 4 and intentionally shuts down injector 4. I know that the 2014 Jeep Patriot will shut down both spark and injectors if it detects a misfire on a particular cylinder.

This video showed that killing one injector will stall the engine. But will disconnecting one injector cause a no-start?
