What a true, heartfelt performance! I've seen JB in concert, probably over 15 times. He is always AMAZING! Such a talented, humble man. Truly a gift for true music lovers, plus before cell phones ruined concerts. Much respect & love. Thank You, Jackson Browne!
[Verse 1] Keep a fire burning in your eye And pay attention to the open sky You never know what will be coming down I don't remember losing track of you You were always dancing in and out of view I must've thought you'd always be around Always keeping things real by playing the clown Now you're nowhere to be found [Verse 2] I don't know what happens when people die Can't seem to grasp it as hard as I try It's like a song I can hear playing right in my ear that I can't sing I can't help listening And I can't help feeling stupid standing 'round Crying as they ease you down 'Cause I know that you'd rather we were dancing Dancing our sorrow away (Right on dancing) No matter what fate chooses to play (There's nothing you can do about it anyway) [Chorus] Just do the steps that you've been shown By everyone you've ever known Until the dance becomes your very own No matter how close to yours another's steps have grown In the end, there is one dance you'll do alone [Verse 3] Keep a fire for the human race Let your prayers go drifting into space You never know what will be coming down Perhaps a better world is drawing near Just as easily it could all disappear Along with whatever meaning you might have found Don't let the uncertainty turn you around (The world keeps turning around and around) Go on and make a joyful sound [Chorus] Into a dancer you have grown From a seed somebody else has thrown Go on ahead and throw some seeds of your own And somewhere between the time you arrive and the time you go May lie a reason you were alive, but you'll never know
i recorded this off the radio station KFOG on cassette , while attending in the park. But the cassette eventually broke. And i couldn't see him play it, as I was too far away. But i was in tears when he played thus, , it was so appropriate for Bill's premature death. So I am truly thankful for this posting. Thank you.
I just watched a video of Jackson Browne accepting his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, referring to his second wife. So according to Jackson Browne, he was married twice.
Hi, didn't want anything for a bunch of f'n crap, fifteen years, ugh, Not worth it, really, ever. Loved you and your music every chance I was by myself - or "with" you, thank you. Only wish or form of "non, regret" was really meeting in the way I always thought I would. Thanks for your support and for having an open forum for something better!!! Wish it was here, too. Keep smiling, always Always here, 😘 Inspiration for the creative outlets, yeah, some really good talent and wonderful gifts! Yeah, yeah I really do understand, maybe too much for too long of a time. Have something on my mind that only you could probably answer... A *Late for the sky* kind, of, love!
Oh and thanks, I dont know if the words are coming out right and I might be with it all night, yeah again, but Is - That really how life was meant to be, wrapped in a vase of a wavering leaf, struggling for water and fresh air until a nomad could find thier own way, of Something they've always known, in a territorial striking voice that even a clover had three hearts desire yearn for the warmth of the sun to dry its own dew. IT certainly couldn't do it on its own without the right elements of a compassionate love. Thanks you... ( )
JB has only been married one time. His wife had taken her own life years before this concert. He famously dated Daryl Hannah for a few years. For the past 17 years he has been living with artist Deanna Cohen. The lady in the ball cap is not Deanna.
@@makeulate yea she said in Vogue that she was so high on coke after a 4 day bender Jackson was trying to leave and she pulled a kitchen knife.. he back handed her and left.

Omg. Just so beautiful. Hope this is played at my celebration of life. CJB a true, true blessed man. TY 💕
[Verse 1]
Keep a fire burning in your eye
And pay attention to the open sky
You never know what will be coming down
I don't remember losing track of you
You were always dancing in and out of view
I must've thought you'd always be around
Always keeping things real by playing the clown
Now you're nowhere to be found
[Verse 2]
I don't know what happens when people die
Can't seem to grasp it as hard as I try
It's like a song I can hear playing right in my ear that I can't sing
I can't help listening
And I can't help feeling stupid standing 'round
Crying as they ease you down
'Cause I know that you'd rather we were dancing
Dancing our sorrow away
(Right on dancing)
No matter what fate chooses to play
(There's nothing you can do about it anyway)
[Chorus]
Just do the steps that you've been shown
By everyone you've ever known
Until the dance becomes your very own
No matter how close to yours another's steps have grown
In the end, there is one dance you'll do alone
[Verse 3]
Keep a fire for the human race
Let your prayers go drifting into space
You never know what will be coming down
Perhaps a better world is drawing near
Just as easily it could all disappear
Along with whatever meaning you might have found
Don't let the uncertainty turn you around
(The world keeps turning around and around)
Go on and make a joyful sound
[Chorus]
Into a dancer you have grown
From a seed somebody else has thrown
Go on ahead and throw some seeds of your own
And somewhere between the time you arrive and the time you go
May lie a reason you were alive, but you'll never know

at 1:35 -- I'm intrigued by the lady in the A's ball-cap. Oh, and, what an excellent performance by Jackson Browne!
She is the mirror-image of me, having lost my dear wife 6 months ago, after 37 years together.
Time has not been a healer...
😀😀😀
i love you,lady in yellow.
Jake Thistle does a beautiful version of this song 🎶

The young woman in the A's cap got to me.
Me too, just quietly mourning the loss of something or someone privately, very moving.
The comment below on JB’s marriage history is incorrect. He’s been married twice.
The woman in the Ad's cap is his wife
nope
JB has only been married one time. His wife had taken her own life years before this concert. He famously dated Daryl Hannah for a few years. For the past 17 years he has been living with artist Deanna Cohen. The lady in the ball cap is not Deanna.
Jackson Browne was married TWICE. He has one son from his first wife, Phyllis, and one son from his second wife, Lynn. His marriage to Lynn was brief.
OMG! I am a JB freak and I can’t believe that I forgot that he had two sons from two different moms! My bad! 🤪
He also beat the hell out of Daryl Hannah a few times, their personnalities just clashed , he is a hell of a song writter...
