Attention writers!! THIS is character development! The King of Hell, possibly the most self-centered being in creation. A fallen angel dedicated to debauchery, decadence, and self-satisfaction. Over the course of four seasons, we've watched him grow, mature, grapple with his own feelings and insecurities. And at the end, he believably commits the most selfless act he possibly can. His reward? The comfort of knowing the people he cares about will be safe. That's how you write a living, breathing character. That's how you get an audience to care about your characters. Side Note: Tom Ellis is the most underrated leading man on TV right now.

Wow this show hitting us with some crazy character development and how far Lucifer has matured even tho he's old asf My guy never wanted to return to the boring life of ruling hell he was selfish & wanted to live free and Careless he wouldn't go back not for his brother not for his father not for his mother not for the humans not for eve but once Chloes live is in danger he truly shows that he's willing to sacrafise his selfish desire to live on earth and party to go back & keep the world safe for her.. Truly maturing
He did not only sacrifice his desire of thrill and partying, but his love, family, home and true calling. In that sense it isn't selfish at all that he wanted to stay on earth.
Omg Netflix literally made this show ten times better. The editing and the effects and the music and everything is just so much better. The script and acting too. They are all amazing at acting but Netflix really showcased that in this season.
I have never binged a netflix series faster than this one...Season 4 cannot be the end, so many possible story lines and the chemistry of these actors is amazing anyone know the email address of Netflix production, I am sure they want to hear my opinion.

It's because his devil form is a punishment he put onto himself. We've seen from the show that Lucifers appearance changes with his mindset towards himself. When he hated himself and blamed himself for the sins of mankind, he went full devil. But, when he was able to start the process of forgiving himself it went away. And when Chloe admitted she loved him he was able to see the love in himself and see the good in himself, so his demon wings turned to angel wings again. His devil face is gone because he is finally able to see himself the way Chloe sees him, so even in hell he is still himself and not the devil form.
It should be back when they was on fox they was going to do 3 seasons without chloe knowing who he is then 3 more season after she found out, so it should continue. cant see them changing it now they are on netflix.

Basically I am envisioning the opening to a season five where Maze had moved back in and Chloe has joined Trixie in Maze's demon hunting training. Like and the major topic of coversation is how to turn the metal into bullets. So basically please a season 5, basically because this was only supposed to be first half of season 4. That could mean that the showrunners who had a five season plan could have 3 more Netflix length seasons.

This is why he is the light bringer. It is his job not to let the world be devoured by darkness. He finally came to grips with that reality if at least for a moment.
The music for this song is so appropriate for the sadness the scene brings and does wonders as a finale for the series. I truly wish for another season, but this is so perfect That I am willing to overlook the mildly disappointing split with Chloe Decker and Lucifer Morningstar.

That face from 2:03 to 2:13 really gets me. Lucifer never knew someone could love him, and now the woman he loves loves him back but he has to leave her. He just looks so happy and sad at the same time. Brilliant acting by Tom!

I’m calling it, next season (fingers cross) she goes to hell to get him back but might run into the guy that kill her dad and tells her maze and Dan were the ones that sent the Russians to kill him or a run in cain in hell since Lucifer killed him and he was going there because of murdering Charlotte 🤷🏻♀️ but we’ll see
@@nena514 I would love to see her fight for him. Come up with a plan so he can come back and the demons have to stay. See her travel to Hell and him fight to get her back to earth. Her not willing to leave without him.
Well, it would be actually good for her to run hell with Lucifer because she has a strong sense of justice which is highlighted all over the show.
This scene makes me want to cry every time, especially when he says goodbye and looks ready to cry himself😭
That song literally broke my heart.... It's so painful to leave the person you love..... When he said that she was his first love and always has been.... That scene was the final nail on the coffin.... And the ending when Lucifer is on the throne he truly look like the king he is....

This episode is beautifully written it shows us don't wait until it's to late to tell the ones we love that we love them.
This is too heartbreaking. I bawled. And also, Tom is the most underrated actor on TV in my opinion. I mean, the man deserves an award for giving such a beautiful and realistic performance. Not to mention he's RIDICULOUSLY HOT. That should be a bonus for him to hopefully land on more roles in more tv shows. I really hope that he becomes a very successful actor.

The music for this song is so appropriate for the sadness the scene brings and does wonders as a finale for the series. I truly wish for another season, but this is so perfect That I am willing to overlook the mildly disappointing split with Chloe Decker and Lucifer Morningstar.
