Since she betrayed Lucifer with the plan to send him back to Hell and the fact he's seeing Eve, it's dawning on her that she may of lost her chance to be with him, and that this time he might not come running back to her. She's also used to being Lucifer's main priority & focus as he often puts her above himself, now she's dropped all the way down to like 3rd or 4th most important thing in his life and she hates it, i think this is the scene where Chloe truly realises how far she's fallen in love with him. Another important scene is the siege at Lux when Chloe talks to Eve about lucifer's devil face, and she asks eve if it scared her, eve just replies with "why would it?" and that's when it clicks for Chloe that she was being extremely shallow in how she treated Lucifer when she saw his devil face, that she proved his single biggest insecurity to be true by being scared and running away. She realises that there was never a reason to be scared, because she knows Lucifer, and that's when her decision to abandon & betray him really starts to hit her, which is why she's so emotional outside Lux after the siege, because it's hit her that she might of pushed him away for good, rewatch the scene when he's being loaded into the ambulance, there's a lot of layers to it

She'd had so many doubts put in her head by Father Kinley, making her believe that Lucifer was just manipulating her and didn't really care. Admittedly, I don't blame her for having doubts. Especially when he had let her down emotionally on so many occasions. From her perspective, Lucifer spent a lot of time in seasons 2 and 3 jerking her feelings around, and when she found out he was the Devil, it's understandable she might have started to think he was doing it on purpose. But it's this moment that makes her realize once and for all that his feelings were real, and that he was willing to put himself in harm's way for her sake, with nothing to gain but knowing she was safe. It may have taken Chloe a while to accept Lucifer for who he was after that, but she never doubted his feelings again (aside from briefly when she found out about being a miracle).
When she found out being miracle, it was her own feelings she doubted. I don't think she ever doubted his feelings after the axe scene. Evidently it is shown in S6 when even after knowing he abandons her and rory in future, she has trust on him.

Plus, Ella said, in the _"Boo Normal"_ episode, _"wiping blood off the wounds is consistent with someone who cares about the victim"._ Second, watch Chloe's face when she said, _"I'm sorry!"_ I think she was sorry for more than just making Lucifer bleed. I think that's the moment she definitively changed her mind about conspiring with Father Kinley. She brought up Lucifer's vulnerability in her meeting with Kinley, realizing that she had been *USED* by him. If she'd only returned that vial to Kinley and confessed to Lucifer, especially when he *ASKED* ... (If she had, most of Season 4 would have been academic.)

It's so heartbreaking how they both continually refuse to say how they feel because they care so much about the other; Lucifer won't say I love you because he thinks Chloe will be unknowingly compelled to love him back, and Chloe doesn't want to ask Lucifer to say I love you because she doesn't want to make him lie if he doesn't feel that way (and she knows he would lie and say I love you just to avoid hurting her). They want so badly for the other person to love them, but they want it to be real; they want the other person to be happy. At some point they're both just going to have to take a leap of faith and trust that what they have is real.

I fell in love with Tom Ellis portray of the devil and his so literal interpretation of everything and I was hooked. I'm now on season 5 episode 3 and have binged watched for days. By the end of the video he looks so shocked when she says "I love you" and its so sad, cause all he knows is fear and hate 😖 most people either hate him or fear him, so much that its hard for him to believe someone actually loves him (even tho she's not the only one)

But that's why it makes sense for him to not say it back so easily! Lucifer has been alone for thousands of years and he has never known the love of a human being before. Its not that he doesn't love her, obviously, but it's scary. It's not like she's this immortal angel who doesn't get hurt by things like knives or bullets. No, she's a human. Someone who will go to heaven when she dies and Lucifer will never be able to follow (I mean who knows what will happen in season 5B with Lucifers dad, but for now Lucifer definitely believes he is only allowed to go to hell and earth. No heaven for him.) And Chloes life is sort of just a minor blip in the timeline of Lucifers life. What is an extra 70 years or so together on top of the thousands he has spent alive and the potentially millions after she's gone? Overall, I understand why Lucifer hadn't said it yet and was super hesitant to, but he should really get his act together and tell her before something inevitably bad occurs from him holding back.
I think you just answered your question here. He'd never been in a relationship before, he has never said "I love you" to anyone. It's not that easy to just say it

So true, plus the _Lucifer_ show is an eclectic amalgamation of the Bible, rabbinical writings, mythology, and a lot of things created by the writers. In many ways, Lucifer (on the show) is almost the exact opposite of Lucifer/Satan in the Bible. At the very least, the show makes people think and hopefully research. (Those books that Chloe supposedly looked at in the Vatican were bizarre, to say the least. She could have found the same material at the L.A. Public Library, minus _"Kinley the Creeper"!)_
Was reluctant to watch Lucifer at first but got hooked on Tom after the first episode! Tom is the Devil 👿...we all wish to meet! He’s complete: music connoisseur... plays the piano and sings, dances, gorgeous voice...elegant presence, charming, attractive, ironic devilish mannerism; and. literally just as sexy appreciable and acceptable in his Devil look! He nailed the part and I wish him many more successful roles, he deserves it❣️

No I agree. He's always been shunned and people have always felt sacred or unsafe around him. The fact that Chloe is actually afraid in season 4 is heartbreaking. He is learning how to love because he's never felt the way before. It's a important thing.

By the end of the video he looks so shocked when she says "I love you" and its so sad, cause all he knows is fear and hate 😖 most people either hate him or fear him, so much that its hard for him to believe someone actually loves him (even tho she's not the only one)
Yes but he also was glad because she finally admitted her feelings to him despite all the fear of him she felt before. But later he realized that must leave although wanted to stay, and this was so desperate and tragic choice so that was the second time he cried. I just don't understand why they cut that beautiful scene because he gave her an indirect confession there
It's extra sad because when she said that it basically affirmed his decision to return to Hell for the sake of protecting her. He waited so long to hear her say that, and now that she had, it just made it even clearer what he had to do. 😭

For the first time the Devil has truly loved someone in trillions of years and can't say "I love you". That is a bit questioning.
But he never loved and never knew what is this feeling before ))) And he tried to say that although it was very hard to him ))) Its not his fault that time stopped just in that moment
But that's why it makes sense for him to not say it back so easily! Lucifer has been alone for thousands of years and he has never known the love of a human being before. Its not that he doesn't love her, obviously, but it's scary. It's not like she's this immortal angel who doesn't get hurt by things like knives or bullets. No, she's a human. Someone who will go to heaven when she dies and Lucifer will never be able to follow (I mean who knows what will happen in season 5B with Lucifers dad, but for now Lucifer definitely believes he is only allowed to go to hell and earth. No heaven for him.) And Chloes life is sort of just a minor blip in the timeline of Lucifers life. What is an extra 70 years or so together on top of the thousands he has spent alive and the potentially millions after she's gone? Overall, I understand why Lucifer hadn't said it yet and was super hesitant to, but he should really get his act together and tell her before something inevitably bad occurs from him holding back.
I think you just answered your question here. He'd never been in a relationship before, he has never said "I love you" to anyone. It's not that easy to just say it

yeah cause we are seeing at it from our point of view. we are seeing him as a 40 years old man when he has lived MANY eons, so i imagine that's a LOT of time for him accepting and realizing that after 5 years of meeting a person he is IN LOVE with that person

So, I have to say this. I don't know if it was their intention, I know Tom Ellis said his dad is a pastor, but they really have made me look at the Bible differently. Of course the devil, but a lot of other things.

So true, plus the _Lucifer_ show is an eclectic amalgamation of the Bible, rabbinical writings, mythology, and a lot of things created by the writers. In many ways, Lucifer (on the show) is almost the exact opposite of Lucifer/Satan in the Bible.
At the very least, the show makes people think and hopefully research. (Those books that Chloe supposedly looked at in the Vatican were bizarre, to say the least. She could have found the same material at the L.A. Public Library, minus _"Kinley the Creeper"!)_
Was reluctant to watch Lucifer at first but got hooked on Tom after the first episode!
Tom is the Devil 👿...we all wish to meet! He’s complete: music connoisseur... plays the piano and sings, dances, gorgeous voice...elegant presence, charming, attractive, ironic devilish mannerism; and. literally just as sexy appreciable and acceptable in his Devil look!
He nailed the part and I wish him many more successful roles, he deserves it❣️

No I agree. He's always been shunned and people have always felt sacred or unsafe around him. The fact that Chloe is actually afraid in season 4 is heartbreaking. He is learning how to love because he's never felt the way before. It's a important thing.
