You know that feeling when your heart is broken and you want to cry? this is how i feel right now knowing this is gonna be the last season of Lucifer 😭 I'm gonna miss the whole cast, especially Chloe and Lucifer.
I was mildly surprised at that scene where Lucifer and Ella are searching for Chloe. They enter a room with a dead woman in a chair that they fear is Chloe. Lucifer says, _"Detective?"_ I'm surprised that that wasn't one of the few times he actually used her name!
The contrivance of the drama on "Lucifer" is occasionally ham-fisted but the feelings it generates are, for me at least, very real. It's like "Gilligan's Island" does the "West Wing": absurdly stupid sometimes, thought provoking and profoundly moving at others. Anyone who cares about the characters at all - and who has any resonance with the issues underlying the show - has got to be gut-punched by the scene where Lucifer was saying goodbye to Chloe because the rebellion in Hell threatened hers and all human life. Coconut radio meets "Dante's Inferno", as channeled through "Romeo and Juliet". Very, very moving. You're sitting there going 'the contrivance of their separation versus attraction is beggaring credulity' and you're fogging your glasses with tears.

I See her as disappointed in the fact that she knows he cares because she can tell that’s why he is “pulling” away and she knows it did scare him. She is disappointed that at why it isn’t bringing them closer. she is hurt that he is choosing to add distance after a close encounter they had together
I felt that way the first time through as well. But with time and rewatching I realized that she was just as lonely and had some deep seated insecurities of her own at the start. And when she finally had to accept Lucifer as the actual devil it meant that she had to accept her whole atheistic/ agnostic world view was false. She no longer trusted herself to know what was true or false. I think that was why she was so susceptible to the evil priest. It also makes her an easy target for Michael. It doesn’t help that he has a history of breaking her heart whenever she tried to commit herself to him. (His own issues tripping along). That vulnerability in both characters along with the loving bond they can’t break makes this so powerful and special for me.

When Lucifer is telling Chloe how long he spent in hell thinking of her, she wanted so badly to console him. You could see it in her eyes, she felt so badly for him. But then she back tracked because she felt she had no choice but to feel that way. What she should have considered is that the very fact that she could back track means she had a choice.

man... i saw the title of this video and its length... it's far too long though... meaning they have to fear to lose each other far to much. this video is great as it is, but i think you are missing some scenes. The key to Lucifer's whole vulnerability around Chloe comes from himself, and his fear that she is not accepting his dark devil side... that's although why its gone after season 4 when she accepts him as he is. And of course there is a reason to his invulnerability coming back up in season 5, after they met the whisper killer... when lucifer is afraid to loose her because he can't protect her. Everyone of Lucifer's physical reactions do have psychological reasons. A very great aspect of the entire show. This also means Chloe's reaction to his devil face. As she realised later, she has actually not been afraid of him, but of losing the man the he became. So i think the scene in witch they discuss right and wrong (4x07) where he clarified that he is the devil and his justice means more to him is very important. I was mildly surprised at that scene where Lucifer and Ella are searching for Chloe. They enter a room with a dead woman in a chair that they fear is Chloe. Lucifer says, _"Detective?"_ I'm surprised that that wasn't one of the few times he actually used her name!
The contrivance of the drama on "Lucifer" is occasionally ham-fisted but the feelings it generates are, for me at least, very real. It's like "Gilligan's Island" does the "West Wing": absurdly stupid sometimes, thought provoking and profoundly moving at others. Anyone who cares about the characters at all - and who has any resonance with the issues underlying the show - has got to be gut-punched by the scene where Lucifer was saying goodbye to Chloe because the rebellion in Hell threatened hers and all human life. Coconut radio meets "Dante's Inferno", as channeled through "Romeo and Juliet". Very, very moving. You're sitting there going 'the contrivance of their separation versus attraction is beggaring credulity' and you're fogging your glasses with tears.

I See her as disappointed in the fact that she knows he cares because she can tell that’s why he is “pulling” away and she knows it did scare him. She is disappointed that at why it isn’t bringing them closer. she is hurt that he is choosing to add distance after a close encounter they had together
I felt that way the first time through as well. But with time and rewatching I realized that she was just as lonely and had some deep seated insecurities of her own at the start. And when she finally had to accept Lucifer as the actual devil it meant that she had to accept her whole atheistic/ agnostic world view was false. She no longer trusted herself to know what was true or false. I think that was why she was so susceptible to the evil priest. It also makes her an easy target for Michael. It doesn’t help that he has a history of breaking her heart whenever she tried to commit herself to him. (His own issues tripping along). That vulnerability in both characters along with the loving bond they can’t break makes this so powerful and special for me.
I don't think, no, I mean I know that she didn't love him the way that he loved her, NOT even close! He proved it before she knew and several times afterward as well! Her being with pierce sexually while at work but making Lucifer wait years plus what she said about the reason that he wanted to become God was absolutely horrible!!!

When Lucifer is telling Chloe how long he spent in hell thinking of her, she wanted so badly to console him. You could see it in her eyes, she felt so badly for him. But then she back tracked because she felt she had no choice but to feel that way. What she should have considered is that the very fact that she could back track means she had a choice.

man... i saw the title of this video and its length... it's far too long though... meaning they have to fear to lose each other far to much.
this video is great as it is, but i think you are missing some scenes. The key to Lucifer's whole vulnerability around Chloe comes from himself, and his fear that she is not accepting his dark devil side... that's although why its gone after season 4 when she accepts him as he is. And of course there is a reason to his invulnerability coming back up in season 5, after they met the whisper killer... when lucifer is afraid to loose her because he can't protect her. Everyone of Lucifer's physical reactions do have psychological reasons. A very great aspect of the entire show. This also means Chloe's reaction to his devil face. As she realised later, she has actually not been afraid of him, but of losing the man the he became. So i think the scene in witch they discuss right and wrong (4x07) where he clarified that he is the devil and his justice means more to him is very important. She starts crying then because she fears to lose him. It's about 18 minutes in the episode.
