Been there done that, unfortunately we did the reverse rather than retiring to the Dom de Goute. Major difference cold night.

We had to spend the night in the Valot hut, then walk down the next day

Slept on the glacier overnight. Left around 5am from memory

@@johnprocter7545 we missed the first cable, later start, made great time but one exhausted guy dropped his Rucksack 500 meters short of the summit

That meant we had to retrace our route rather than go down via Dom du Gouter, jumped the bergshrund but missed the last cable by 15 mins.
