The TTRS needs those big tires upfront because it has a transverse transmission (Haldex), which gives it 50/50 power, front/back. Not like the GTRs and Huracans, and other vehicles that have longitudinal transmissions or transaxles who have more power going out the rear tires than upfront. Those don't require big tires upfront unless you are pushing over 2000+ hp. And the sparks are likely carbon composite brakes.
I've heard the haldex can be modified to change its power delivery to the rear
@@phantom2k10 yes but it won't deliver full power to the rear, it'll be limited, and not truly RWD. Haldex systems are based on FWD since it's transverse. And to get it to slide or drift, they are tuned to send more power to the rear on the outside wheel into a drift.

Those are the cops I love. He explained why he pulled them over. Then gave them the company line. "It's too loud" but then went over the location and best bet to stay out of trouble. A good cop experience give the man credit.
The reason the TT has such big Front tires is becasue its basically a FWD with on demand AWD. Clutch on the driveshaft sends power to the rear. At high speeds where you dont need the awd anymore it can be more efficient just sending power to the front.

Yeah it’s definitely top 10 fastest in the country. That engine and turbo can make 1300whp by itself so it’s around 1400 or so with the nitrous.
