there may have been little point to this expedition from a climbing point of view but it made a proper wicked film. Thanks Robbie and Alex. Legend status further cemented
You two make a great combo - Alex is so chill and can laugh at the absurdity of it all, and yet is so strong and determined. More pointless challenges, please. Or, dare I say it a challenge vs the Wide Boyz....
After seeing your caving video with Alex I had a binge watch of your videos which inspired me to tackle my injuries and get back into climbing. Watching this inspired me to put a warm coat on 😂.
Reminds me of the book title "Conquistadors of the Useless". Great climbing, good production values, first piece of music shite. Really enjoy your videos.
Yeah it’s supposed to be. I kinda went for ridiculous music for the first two - like the Tokyo drift opening scene for am Buachille is the most ridiculous thing ever.
Really good film, I really like how you guys seemed a bit broken at the end and acknowledged how pointless the challenge was. "We had a horrible holiday on Hoy" hahaaa. Your planning for the swim however, was shockingly bad haha. You guys were lucky not to get seriously hurt. One big wave and you could've been smashed up against some rocks. Glad you made it but be more prepared for anymore swims in the sea haha.
I always enjoy that you manage to combine making great climbing films with a kind of self-conscious satire of climbing films.... the end was perfect. Hope work wasn't too painful. Good craic, thanks!
I'm really impressed by this. We just climbed these three stacks over four days and used this vid for some helpful beta. We came over from Sweden not really expecting anything (except bad weather maybe) and only really hoping to do the Hoy and see some grass and sheep. However the weather last week was exceptional and we grabbed the moments and managed to get all three done i a couple of days. We're of course impressed with that you climbed all of them in 24 h but even more that you actually managed to get between them in this time. Hats of lads! That's effin insane! We're happy with how our little roadtrip turned out and that we got to experience this part of the world in such amazing weather. We still have a week left here, any places in Scotland you would recommend us going climbing while we're at it?
Wow! Great effort on the three and I'm super happy to hear that the video helped. I'd really recommend going to Skye before you go home - if you want a fun mountain challenge thats mostly walking/scrambling and a tiny bit of rock climbing, the Cuillin Ridge is a mega thing to do. I've done it twice but planning again this year - the views are incredible and if you get the conditions its probably the best day out in Scotland (if you do it in a day - most do over 2 days). Also tower ridge on Ben Nevis would be a fun big day out and you'd tick the UK's highest mountain.
@@RobbiePhillips Thanks Pal. Climbed at Stac Pollaidh, which was beautiful, before heading down to Fort William for some mountain biking. Scrambled up the Tower ridge, as recommnded which was fun but made the mistake of walking down the highway instead of a more direct and less crowded decent. Never the less, a fun day out! Thanks for the tips! Super impressed with the richness of Scottish climbing and will likely head over again. Peace out!
dude, big up from germany!! great video, as always. i just saw you uploaded a new one and couldnt help but laugh out loud :D few seconds in, i am not disappointed. you deserve to be bigger. if you want to bring a severely disabled dude on one of your trips and show him the ropes - hit me up :D
Thanks man! really appreciate the words :) I dont like to throw videos out and im a bit of a perfectionist so sorry they take so long to upload, but at least they are wrth it when they do
They definitely are. Fun, editing and realness is a good combination if delivered by the right person. The fulmars alone. And your history with them :D hilarious
Can't believe this awesome film is available for free! Robbie this is so funny and I'm now even more psyched to climb a sea stack for myself. Also nice to see Ryan in the video 😂
I feel like the Indiana Jones music would've been more appropriate during the bits where you're tracking the journey on the map..dun da du duuuuuun, dun da dunnnn
That was the perfect culmination for a perfect trilogy of joy in Hoy, which I have just binge-watched. You two make a perfect combination of hard-ass climbers and good-fun muckers. Looking forward to your next adventures!
So good to see a new video from Robbie. The drone shots are amazing! Medieval challenge for the true knights of rock climbing.
Thanks Arina! Love that, Best comment yet!
Thanks!
Savage, great vid!
You're my hero, Robbie
Haha thanks man

F**king love this!
You guys are the Champions of Choss, the Barons of Birdshit, the Sultans of Self-imposed Suffering. Bravo!
Absolutely unreal guys
Haha thanks man
The production quality alone deserves more than "just" 24k subscribers
Awesome feat and awesome film!
Thanks man! Drone really brings the Scottish landscape alive

That’s inspiring to read 🙂 Glad you’re back at it (hopefully injury free!). Now to get a bit silly challenge planned for the summer
Cool vid, what's the music at beginning?🤘

Incredible video man, thanks. 🦊
Another absolutely brilliant film. Superb climbing, camerawork and editing.
Thanks Tracey! Ryan Balharry on camera - did a fantastic job, made editing a dream 😁
Did you guys set up the tyrollean in the dark?

The music is unbearable.
Seems like a really stupid and arbitrary idea. Great job! I love those things!
LOVE IT! I have to do those. Not in a day.
Its insane that this channel hasn't got more subscribers. Beautifully shot, lovely swimming 😂
enjoyed every bit of your suffering! 😉

Banger of a vid

In Irish An Buachaill means the boy.
So ye have climbed two old men and a boy.
Hahahaha that’s brilliant knowledge.
Epic!
Badass
awsome. I don't think i've ever muttered 'fuck that' so many times while watching a climbing video.
Great fun! One to enjoy while the weather is crap and the skin if trashed!
How long would you take if you sail in between them? (wouldn't be much of a climbing challenge I guess... ahhaha)

This is awesome!! Miss you Robbie, hopefully we see you back in Jtree sometime soon!
''you really climb for the hell of it.” - Sir Edmund Hillary.
Great effort guys!
I've been looking forward to this one, what an awesome adventure!
Superb video guys. The effort was something else and I'm thinking the climbing was the easiest bit probably. Well done
This was honestly so good, really wish there was more climbing videos like this showing all the adventure faff and craic that goes into it all
Need more adventure swimming that was mad
Saw it on the film tour but had to come back to like and comment! Can't wait to climb these myself :D
Thanks man
Keep it up Robbie! Your vids are top notch and take us all on adventures. Also more Cullen.
I don't if you're dumb or awesome, but the film is awesome, congrats
Thanks man
couldnt not subscribe after that. quality!!
Robbie and Alex on another pointless Scottish adventure. What could be better than that?
Was a really nice eve in Bristol, seeing this and meeting Bonnie (you were pretty cool too). Time to watch a second time ❤
Haha bonnie has almost doubled in size since then 😂
Sick film! Did you need to change ropes, because they got wet?
Can't believe this awesome film is available for free! Robbie this is so funny and I'm now even more psyched to climb a sea stack for myself. Also nice to see Ryan in the video 😂
You absolutely should this summer!
I love watching these adventures. It makes me want to go out there! Some of the shots of those towers looked like fantasy
First class lads, enjoyed that :)
Cheers Mark
fantastic achievement!! Can we expect the 24/8 at some point, or is winter a no go?
heavily approving of Alex reading a little life
The most pointless challenges always end up being the best - looked like an epic day out!
Great video, salute from Holland!
Looks like fun climbing on really awesome features.
Ah but was it really pointless when I smashed that like button?
excellent video as always! never made it very far north in Scotland so its really great to see more of it.
Would’ve been cool to have seen them on a map and see the route you took! I am quite confused as to where they all are.
If you look closely there is a wee map that shows our journey from hoy to am buachille
@@RobbiePhillips Yeah I saw that too, thanks!
The video was still really entertaining though. Loved it!
Great film lads; looks like you had a blast
Amazing content as always, Robbie!
Your back dude!!!❤
Woop!
What an amazing day that must have beend
Oh yes! He's back! And on the shit covered choss stacks to boot 😂! You go on the best adventures Ribbie!
Good lord. Of course I meant ROBBIE!! 🤣
I feel like the Indiana Jones music would've been more appropriate during the bits where you're tracking the journey on the map..dun da du duuuuuun, dun da dunnnn
Would have loved to, but unfortunately I’d have Steven Spielberg chasing me for money 💰
@@RobbiePhillips queue another montage

Need to get a dry bag sponser
What an adventure!!
Masterpiece.
Beautiful

🎉
Sick movie, what is the music tho Robbie

Good job boys…..like you said absolutely pointless but a great achievement nonetheless 👏🏻🔥💪🏻🧗🏻♂️
