Guild was definitely deeper but slightly muffled. The Taylor was bright as expected but the clarity and character just outmatched the Guild in this face off.
Taylors made in Mexico...would say the quality is OK compared to the 3 Series and up being made in America? Miss my 614ce and considering a GS Mini-e or maybe a 214...just a little concerned about Mexican made quality.
I’m glad he played it that way, just to get a general idea of the tones you can get. I can’t stomach paying a grand for a 214, and the Guild stuff sounds pretty good in comparison.

The difference is very subtle to my ear. I guess it comes down to comfort.

My 214ce dlx is simply Amazing! go try one, you won't miss anyhting from the american made ones

They play the same thing for consistency in tone. Go watch Acoustic Letter. Or a lot of other reviewers.
I wish you'd play something else. This flip flopping in G gets tiresome.
