    Random thoughts in order:
    - "Whistle" will now be stuck in my head for a week. That hook is catchy as smallpox (and about as pleasant). Thanks a lot.
    - It's been 7 years and I still think about how atrocious "Drive By" is on a regular basis. The lyrics are just so bafflingly terrible they randomly pop into my head about once a week. I've heard songs about chemtrails sung by talentless nobodies on RUclips that made more sense.
    - "And this was a slot that was originally going to be filled by Justin Bieber''s 'Boyfriend'." I'd actually forgotten he made a song with that title, so my first reaction was "Hold up, Biebs dated a dude in 2012? I think I would remember that."
    - "Electro pop/migraine" *slow clap*

Call Me Maybe really shows me everything wrong with popular music. Not because the song itself is all that bad, but because the artists involved have made such better music. Carly Rae Jepsen has become the darling of indie pop, and the songwriter Josh Ramsay is the frontman of one of the best pop bands ever (Marianas Trench). And yet, outside of that song (and Good Time), name one song from either of them that’s gotten popular in the US. Apparently we just wanted to hear the lowest common denominator instead of what either artists are actually capable of.

Rack City, it's honestly my least favorite hit of the 21st century. While I despise Birthday Cake's lyrics, it mostly relies on generic cake metaphors to describe sexual acts. 10. I like the prechorus, but the drop blows, and this is far from the only Early-Mid 2010s EDM track that fits that description.
    9. This was the song that taught me how to whistle. Of course, I was too naïve and innocent back then to catch the obvious double entendre, but I can't have anything but nostalgia for this song.
    8. That beeping synth... hasn't aged particularly well to say the least.
    7. Pink, don't try to hit high notes, you're not Mariah Carey (or at least Mariah in her prime).
    6. Guilty pleasure solely due to nostalgia.
    5. I don't think this song is that bad. Don't get me wrong, it's not good by any means, just not something I really dislike.
    4. I actually like a fair deal of the production (the guitar line in particular, I think you could've built a solid mid-tempo pop rock song out of it), but the lyrics and vocals (UGH)… yeah, different story. When it comes to songs called "Want You Back", I'll take the Jackson 5 any day of the week.
    3. I didn't realize how bad the lyrics were when I was 11, so can you please forgive my nostalgia for this song (nostalgia, see a running theme here?).
    2. Cheesy WGWAG ballad.
DM1. Nicki Minaj's vocals kind of annoy me.
DM2. This ain't the last of Rihanna we'll see on this list.
DM3. Another song, another burst of nostalgia. Gee, 11 year old me really had a bad taste in music.
    DM4. Meh.
DM5. That production sure hasn't aged like fine wine.
DM6. Rack City Bitch Rack Rack City Bitch...
    DM7. See DM4.
    1. CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE (repeat ad infinitum)… one of the worst songs of the decade. I don't want my pop music to sound like I'm getting a root canal.

Guarantees (based on copyright bot spoilers) and my thoughts on them:
We Run the Night (chorus isn't bad, but drop ruins everything)
Whistle (doesn't sound bad, but far from subtle)
Turn Up the Music (horrendous post chorus synths)
Blow Me (One Last Kiss) (yeah, this song has shrunk on me considerably over the past 7 years)
Payphone (started Maroon 5's decline, but I still don't hate this)
Back in Time (great guitar lick, but wrong sample choice, and dubstep)
Want U Back (horrendous, most other years the worst of the year)
Drive By (don't hate this, but I do recognize the stupid lyrics)
I Won't Give Up (kind of boring, but I don't get the extreme hate)
You Da One (kind of annoying, but a masterpiece compared to one other song)
Other songs I expect to be on this list:
    Birthday Cake (duh!)
Rack City ("got your grandma on my dick", anyone?)
    Ass (again, duh!)
Starships (similar to We Run the Night)
The Motto (culturally damaging, and that one line from Lil Wayne)
    Boyfriend (just pitiful...)
We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (don't hate as much as others, but a big shift for Taylor Swift)

      Opinions while watching the video:
#10. Yeah, the worst part of the song is the post chorus drop...
#9. Yeah, not so subtle at all...
      #8. The drop is horrendous.
#7. Well, it did drop from it's high position after all. Still, not that good.
#6. This is where they started going downhill, but I don't hate it.
#5. Good lick, but horrendous dubstep.
      #4. What? This low? How?
      #3. Yeah, bad lyrics alert.
#2. I've never understood the extreme hate for this song.
DM1: I was expecting Starships, but yeah, annoying...
DM2: Compared to one other hit, this is a masterpiece...
DM3: It has shrunk drastically over the years...
      DM4: Okay, wasn't expecting this...
      DM5: Not Boyfriend?
      DM6: Horrendous.
DM7: Okay, I haven't given this much thought...
#1: Yes, this song is flat out atrocious. The absolute worst of the year...

Everyone seems to agree that that Chris Brown/Rihanna collaboration was one of the biggest miscalculations in recent popular music. And yet Chris Brown still has millions of defenders. BLACK WOMAN defenders!! I don’t know what’s wrong with the world.
Also shame on you for reminding of Cher Lloyd. *Ugh*
