I lived through the Oldhim fatigue days and I don't hate it. For any newer players, you should check out the Michael Feng v. Mara Faris game at Pro tour Baltimore. Fatigue is just another question that is asked. Some strategies will be better or worse at answering it. However, I do think Cyb has too few good ways of interacting with its fatigue style since it is generic. It forces you to decide at sideboarding whether or not you need to bring your hatepieces in, and its not like its Bo3 where you have a chance to see their strategy. Unless GY hate becomes printed on generically good cards, such as a CNC that also banishes a card in grave, CYB will continue to be frustrating to play against. Also, if you care, "Pick your poison" would be the english idiom that you're looking for!
I have mixed feelings. I don’t like banning cards and fatigue is technically a valid win condition but it is miserable to play against. The issue is that so many cards block 3 and you factor in equipment and life gain and now the fatigue decks can absorb like 150+ damage a game which is kind of crazy.
As a Ranger main player, I hate fatigue with all my heart. But this Count Your Blessings make it even worse. Maybe they should ban the blue ones or the yellow ones or something
This is fine to be honest. Just wait for Jarl and Ice to come back in we know it's moving to a fatigue meta and it is about time. Aggro has been top for years now
Mixed feelings but then again overall if you start banning certain playstyles or bottleneck them then that's kind of not a good way to look at the future cause then are we just going to play agro?
Top 8 at worlds showed that fatigue could be outplayed but that will definetely take like +50% more round time. I don't think it's humanly possible to play such small ball within time limits if fatigue isn't representing threats. Fatigue shouldn't be happening regularly in average tournaments. I wouldn't have anything against if it was a gimmick way to win these big events, or some kind alternative way to win matches like ultra aggressive decks like DIO. Especially in limited it leaves confusing gaming experience for average or beginning player. Of if fatigue is essentially a mandatory feature where are the heroes (hopefully fair) that constantly beat it 70-90%?
I hate fatigue but it needs to be some part of the game, though i think the worlds final was boring and one big anticlimax. Fatigue should not be as simpel as, block, gain life, pass...... block, gain life, pas. That being said, Mercy(I believe) could have won with 3 Poison the well...... and she prioritied not having 3 in her sideboard..... but damn I hoped she won.
It does it too freely. Fatigue does what you say, but CYB asks and answers that question on a singular card that cant be disrupted by the opposing hero. So its requiring the opposing hero to answer that question, which is usually a very skill testing endeavor, while the CYB hero almost doesnt have to think at all.
@protestthebread1046 @protestthebread1046 I think the skill expression can be seen during Deck Building. CYB is easy to play because you have so few decision points while its in your hand. You rely on building a list that can manage your own lack of interaction. Beyond Enigma, CYB leaves massive vulnerability for On-Hits and can be interacted with by Heavly Pitching against it. Once a player sees CYB, they must realize their win-con is no longer their standard gameplay. That have to pitch as much as possible; Weapons and Burst Combos become the focus.

If you want new players to pick a different game don't ban cyb

In english i believe the saying is "pick your poison". Aka all options are toxic LOL 7:49

I don’t care so much about the fatigue but the value per card being too high when you play the last few.

9 copies of CYB is 5 value per card. 😮
Fatigue decks are boring.

tbh arcane damage and illusionists are more aids than fatigue
Fatigue problem? It's part of the game so no.
I like fatigue games, intreging to me.
Super love Count Your Blessings
I feel like it forces player skill away from raw Card Value and more towards Pitch Stacking/Deck Value
It does it too freely.
