This Tutorial actually really helped me out a lot, Recently ive been trying to record Audio files through my computer using the OBS Software and Eliminating any Background noise and muting my microphone so I could get clean audio since I was gonna be playing music for a party I was going to be having, I was actually trying to find multiple ways to try to convert a file until I had found this one and I am proud to say its helped me out a lot and I am really happy that I came across your tutorial! Thank you so much!
I didn't know this, the power! fam my original file was 4.17 Gb and now its 4.17 Mb and the quality is still clear AF. thank you so much----bro God bless you
finaly a solution for those strange pixel camera videos also if you wanna select multiple files at the last step of destination check the append '-convered ' to filename this basicly makes it so that the files dont overwrite eachother and you can just drag ur vids after that
Very informative. Exactly what I was looking for! :) I was trying to reduce the video file sizes of Windows screen capture videos. Windows by default does not apply any video compression, so the video files are gigantic. You are a real Lifesaver! 🥰
Brilliant. Still works. Was having problems with MKV not being able to work in Premiere Pro so I converted it. Video looks high quality still like you said.
Does it tell you what kind of video format its in? Find out what type of file it is and go from there. You can find out by going into the file's properties
Yay! I was going to upload my file to some random online free service for whom I would have been the product. Good your video showed high enough on my search results. Thanks :)

The first few movies I converted: mkv to mp4 turned out fine, but now - and the last few times I have tried the conversion, it "finishes" but the conversion is incomplete - e.g. in the latest try, I have 0.98 GB out of 2.67 GB while the conversion has just stopped before completion. When I click on it (the black VLC conversion screen), I get the message: "The output file already exists. If recording continues, the file will be overridden and its content will be lost". If I click on "keep" the file just stays at 0.98 GB {and is unwatchable). If I click on "overwrite", the same old sh*t just happens again and I end up with a useless 0.98 GB blank file.
hmm...I've done exactly what you say but it doesn't convert. It only places an empty and correctly named file at the correct destination. If I go to play it I get this popup: This file isn't playable. That might be because the file type is unsupported, the file extension is incorrect, or the file is corrupt. 0xc10100be
Thanks a lot, but I'm having some issues. The video doesn't play any sound. What should I do ?? i followed the exact same procedure more than twice, but still, no sound..Help...!!

Everytime Ive download a new movie that cant play on my Sharp TV... I will go to VLC and convert the video to MP4 even its already MP4 format, there is already some codec that the file cant play on your TV. I always got 90% success when converting the movie with unsupported signal format issue... But some I converted and had succesfully play to my LED TV... There is only 1 movie that it cant play how many times I convert it or MAybe its in the resolution or bitrate i choose..
in my opinion Flac and WaW is the purest sound quality. to bad you cant set 19200khz but only 48000khz. 32 bitrate is the fastest up to date i think. but this prob also depends on what stereo or surround sound system you have.
The problem I'm having is I've used the video capture to record VHS tape into the MP4 format and the audio only plays on VLC player and no other video players. I was hoping this would fix it, but the MP4 file still wont play audio on other players??? Can anyone help! Thanks!
@@scalewithsales2615 Yes, I actually just figured out what was wrong. if you click the ratchet next to the dropdown list you can change the bitrate to a higher value which will maintain higher video quality. if you really need higher picture quality you can sacrifice framerate and resolution
