I was at this show! I filled out an application online and I was surprised when a staffer called me some time later. I had to answer a trivia question for the ticket, “Who is the stage manager?” Of course I had been watching the show since the beginning and “Biff Henderson” was the easy answer. I got to sit in the front row! 🎉 Jim Carrey and Steve Winwood? Great show I’ll never forget. Thanks for the memories, Dave.

Today, it is clear to me that "Eternal Sunshine" is one of the best films of this century so far, with brilliant script, directing, acting, and music. I only wish Jim Carrey would be fortunate enough to be a part of something equally magical again. He is immensely gifted as an actor and a human.
Kauffman is a genius. One of his most accesible movies to date.

Well he has retired apparently, although i'm pretty sure he said he was retiring years ago and still did movies here and there.

I noticed that....and if you watch enuf older clips of Jim on talk shows, he predicted a lot.of other things...
My belief is that creativity is a conduit....and different types of Intuition bleed through...
It's like when you pour noodles into a strainer, there's always some that squeak through the gaps and go down the sink....

He’s a legend
His energy reminds me of Robin Williams, who was also uncontrollable. The difference is that Jim planned all this out.

Craig Ferguson did this as a regular segment at the end of every interview 😅
The audience ruined the bit by laughing and clapping the whole time. Would have been weirder and funnier if they weren't talking and the only sound was the ambient noise of the studio.
I think we've seen the birth of the "Awkward Pause" that Fergussen would later make famous.
Wow what a hilarious performance in the first part. And the silence... wow. The crowd couldn't even handle it.
And then right into the promotion of Eternal Sunshine (perhaps my favourite film of all time). Incredible. Can't believe I have never seen this before.
A very meta performance, decades before this kind of stuff would be mainstream.

I remember him showing up to the Kids Choice Awards a few weeks after this. I was 100% sure that it was coming off of A Series of Unfortunate Events, something to do with making the makeup and costuming easier as Olaf considering all his different disguises. I’d even bet it was in early regrowth at this point
that minute of silence might have been interesting if the audience would have actually remained silent.

One of the funniest man to ever live I think
He had to let it all out before he could have a decent conversation. He is funny but intertwined with a intelligence, wit and slight madness.
A slight madness? He’s practically intolerable in real life. Primo narcissist and wannabe tortured artist. Very funny performer, but supremely unfunny person he’s got a Christ complex.
