Great advice. My pet peeve is people rigging and loading there boats on the put in ramp or at the take out with there boats parked in the middle of the ramp and there hanging out . In most places there is an area to get your boat rigged and ready prior to the launch site . The launch site is just that ,back up dump the boat have your people there ready to go park your vehicle come back launch , done same at takeouts, get the trailer pull the boat out unload somewhere other then on the ramp . The only reason I mention this is because I see more and more people not doing this apparently they have not learned that part of river etiquette. Thanks for sharing
Great advice as always Zac. I loved the "water, weather and camps; pick two" comment. Spot on. I worked at a bike shop with a sign that read, "fast, cheap and good; pick two". Here's hoping that with the large snowpack we have the Owyhee runs longer than usual. SYOTR.
Should be a great season. Good luck out there. I checked and the Crooked is just now coming in! Ran a little last year, but the snow pack offers a promising season on that classic. Great for rafters, but...go with a large group, plan for a long day, and everyone go all the way to LBC and have a water taxi/tow boat meet you at the lake. You have some nice rapids down there, including China Dam where most kayakers and paddle teams take out. One portage around a dam, but the view of Opal Springs is well worth the extra trouble. It's a long day, but one of the most memorable one's you can have for big water in OR above 2000-5000 cfs, that I bet it reaches this year.

We lucked into all 3 last weekend
I got lucky in 2019 and got all 3 in the first week of June. Great trip, but needs some compromise or some luck.
Awful river, stay at home.
Don’t throw me in that briar patch…
