    They have the fire extinguisher there just in case the place catches fire from his lightning fast speed under the bar

    This video would be an excellent addition to the app. The tension is something I need to work better at. Thanks again Gabriel.

    Hello there GS ☘️ Happy St Patrick’s Day 🎉
    Is that start position technique referred to as “dynamic” ?

    Interesting idea - i have always wondered why sometimes the bar seems to fly up in such a way that I can explode way better on the 2nd and 3rd pull, and sometimes not. Lately I have been trying a technique something like what Lydia Valentin uses in the start position with a couple of very small oscillations before the 1st pull which seems to be working for me, but I wasn't really sure why. After seeing your video i think it explains why this is - I need to put tension in the bar in the start position every time. I will definitely focus more on that tension and see if I can be more consistent, especially with heavier weights - thanks for the tip! The frustrating thing is, with lighter weights, that tension doesn't seem to matter much in terms of making a lift, so most of my training done at lighter weights is actually reinforcing bad technique!! How would you suggest to avoid this problem at light weights - are there good drills to reinforce this habit?

    It is not clear enough what do you mean by " to put the tension on the bar "

  • @riccagiaco
    @riccagiaco 2 года назад

    Gabriel, do you mean that by tensing your last you pull the slack from the bar?

    100% agree with this. Snatches 110 kg consistently because of this.

    It doesn't make sense how that much weight moves so fast. Wild.

    Ohh so that pulling back is about pulling the tension from the bar
