My cat recently started throwing up her food and I’m so worried! We think it’s because she got a new feeding spot and it’s stressful when people walk by and she eats too fast
Unfortunately, one of my cats was doing this and it was due to a tumor, and we weren't able to catch it in time. But the mass was preventing him from being able hold much food at all.
Sorry to hear this. Was he losing weight? Any behavioral changes? My cat of 15 years has vomited persistently since March 12, it is now April 26 but his behavior is completely normal. Went to 2 vets, blood-work was fine and he's big and strong, 17 lbs. Dewormed him too. Second vet gave me antibiotics and probiotics, vomiting stopped 5 days, but yesterday twice and today again. Will monitor.

Was he losing weight?* Initially no, but once it progressed he started losing weight fast. *Any behavioral changes?* Nope, he was super loving and a lap cat throughout his entire life, in sickness and in health. *My cat of 15 years has vomited persistently since March 12, it is now April 26 but his behavior is completely normal. I've had other cats who tended to do more clear vomiting multiple times a day that was associated with their kidneys. But since your vet did blood work then they very likely checked for that. Definitely keep an eye on it and let your vet know of any changes or if the meds didn't help and hopefully they'll be able to find something. But with Bender, his blood work was clear initially and even his kidneys were in very good health, which surprised my vet because usually around the 10-15 age you see kidney functions degrading.

I had a cat that suffered of this and it was food allergy. I started using senaitive stomach kibble and he never had it again.
Also can be related to hairball.
Yes, it's one of the most common types of obstruction!
My cat has had scans and blood work and all came back clean. He eats from a slow feeder now. But when water is introduced he vomits it back up.
Can hormones also cause regurgitation, please?

We are sorry to hear it 😢
