I was a delivery specialist for Jimmy Johns from 2014 until 2021. I have a long list of awkward/scary/hilarious stories. One of which I remember profoundly. I was making a delivery to a house. I pull out onto the street in front of our store and there was a vehicle in front of me. The vehicle was proceeding in the direction I was going and I really thought nothing of it. A few turns later and after about 2 miles, I was still behind this car trying to get to my destination. Eventually, we got to the destination and I was STILL behind this car. It pulls into the driveway where my delivery was and the guy gets out of his car with a bat. I quickly jump out of the car, hands up in the air, and begin to explain to him that I have a delivery here. He says his roommates name I said it was the dude I was delivering to. He laughed, put the bat away, pulls out a twenty and hands it to me. The guy I was delivering to thought it was hilarious as the bat guy and I were standing on the porch cackling away. The guy I was delivering to also gave me a twenty. 40 bucks was made that night and 3 people will always remember that story.
I worked at a Rite Aid drugstore back in the late 1990s in a small-ish town in Utah while I was in college. One Friday night, I'm working the register and this VERY obvious woman of the night and two guys who were grinning ear to ear come up to my register with an open L'Eggs pantyhose package and I'm thinking to myself "She probably just wanted to verify the color." I scan it through, she pays, and as I go to bag it up, she tells me "Oh you can throw those away. I'm wearing the new ones." (Yeah, she must have changed them in the restroom. That's classy.) I do so. The three of them leave as I'm drenching my hands in sanitizer before I touch anything else. The doors close and a guy a couple people further back in line chuckles and says what we were all thinking: "Lookin' for a good time...?" I proceed to wipe the sanitizer bottle itself down with sanitizer and everyone starts laughing even harder, including my boss. I turn to him "I want a raise."

the “deli style roll” is available as a footlong right? im used to roll meaning a small bun. i ask because a family member has a soy allergy and the ingredients listed says it has the least amount of soybean oil in it compared to the rest. her mother also has dietary restrictions that have impacted her thoughts about food so the kid only really gets snack sized “meals” if u can call peanut butter toast a meal if i ever get the chance to feed the kid i intend on stuffing their face and subway is a good way to build confidence aswel ‘cause they can tell a stranger what to do and the stranger will do it infront of them
I think people like "Karen-not-Karen" are just really lonely and want to have some human interaction, even if on the surface it's negative. I think it's the soul's version of "cutting."
For over 30 years my favorite Subway sandwich is a tuna on wheat, with just American cheese and a small amount of mayo. My local Walmart has a Subway that is ran by middle eastern immigrants, and whenever I order that relatively plain sandwich they kind of side eye look at me crazy, like don't I know I can get hella toppings on it for the same price?
Woman was just on life long mission in search of a perfect tuna sandwich, she tried toasted didn't like it and liked the untoasted. She stopped coming back because she found some one else that beat your tuna sandwich.
Basically what once happened was I was always on the bus and there was this one girl who would always stand in the disabled spot and then one day a wheelchair came on and she refused to leave then I got chatting to her and she turned out to be really nice it just turned out that she had a condition that made sitting really difficult for her and I then started standing with her and we would just leave the spot were a wheelchair to come on
My husband use to work at Subway & he would always work graveyard shift so he would always bring me home the cookies that wouldn’t sell before closing. One day I went to bite into a chocolate chip cookie & it tasted like onion. I was a bit confused so I asked him if the cookies are homemade. He said no they are premade you just bake them. I was like oh then someone didn’t change their gloves when they went to throw the cookies in the oven. 🥴
