BFV has a lot of flaws, especially considering it’s supposed to be set in WW2. But gameplay wise, I think it struck a decent balance between innovation and sticking to Battlefield’s roots
@@ExtantPerson yeah, attrition, faction specific vehicles, and the squad mechanics were very fun in BFV IMO. If they game just had good advertising, I think it may have at least been an enjoyed battlefield.
@@programofuse8731 Well, besides that, its disregard for history really stunted its chances. If the campaign didn’t try to revise things, the customization was more reasonable, and as you said the advertising was a lot better, it genuinely could have been one of the best shooters in years, since it did so many FPS fundamentals well, in particular gunplay.
Battlefield 2042 is a perfect example of why games need their own identity. 2042 banked off Battlefield 4's identify and failed miserably then each season they tried bringing in legacy weapons and maps which still didn't improve 2042's identity crisis. Instead they focused on battle pass sales and now this Battlefield might suffer the same fate as Black Ops 4. A soulless game from a popular franchise that has no story, did nothing revolutionary, and won't stay in people's memories years later like the other Battlefield games still do for us.
Maybe, just maybe, folks will remember how forgettable it was, except the release which will always be a legend of shit ✌🏼🤣👍🏼
I still hate Black Ops 4. Some of the gameplay was decent but I barely remember it and it was so disappointing.
On the other hand I still love Black Ops 3 and can remember almost every gun and their animations, operator, and map. I adore that game.
@@TheFirstCurse1for me both BO3 and BO4 were amazing (got dark matter camo in BO4, almost got prestige master in BO3). If I have to be honest, the decision of not making single player campaign in BO4 was a good idea. Literally every gamemode was somehow special in it's own way. For me it was very solid MP game
@@quickyfrost751 I fully disagree. Everything with Black Ops 4 was horrible. The weapons sucked and looked like garbage, the operators were lame, the artstyle was horrible, the maps sucked, just everything was bad. It was by far the worst COD until Modern Warfare 2023 came out.

Yess bf1 had the most epic sound design of all imo, 2042 should have been the same atmosphere and sound effects etc but then modern warfare... but I doubt Dice will ever make anything anymore the oldschool fans want and only what they want themself... which is crap!

You know what's crazy? I haven't been able to play this game for over 6 months. It consistently crashes as soon as I try to get into a game. I can sit in the home screen no issue but as soon as it finds me a game, crash. I legit cannot figure it out and I've tried everything to fix the issue. I suppose it doesn't really matter at this point.

Played about 5 rounds on this map, it's fun but the first zone, defenders have it too easy imo. It's so hard to take, but then if you do, you probably usually win the round

honestly looks like a good game was super hype when the trailer dropped, didn't Preorder for good reason. Took way too long to fix all the major bugs. Next battlefield should be bug free BEFORE RELEASING IT.
